Hi, miss you guys. Well, we had to admit Frank (DFIL) back into the hospital this morning. I am sitting at his bedside now typing on the bberry. He has a very sick stomach and a high fever. They think it is his gall bladder. While in the emergency room he got the worst case of the hiccups and they have given some drugs but he still has the hiccups.

His roommate is crazy. He is screaming and yelling all kinds of crazy stuff. He looks like he is very old and very sick. He should be in a private room. The nurse said they are trying to get an order for meds to calm him. Oh what a nightmare.

Amy came back and Sophia got her hair cut too. Not quite as short as Samantha's just a bit longer. I liked the long hair too, but I guess it is a growing up thing.

molly keeps talking about locks of love, but it makes me so sad to think of her losing her long hair. loss of innocence.

OK, all this cruise chat has gotten me sail-crazy! So I cracked yesterday and booked a (non-DCL) cruise in 24 days.... no husband, no kids... just a friend and I.

Good for you! Which cruise line and itinerary?

What the weather like in May as I have been told that the weather will be cold when we arrive LA?

What is the temperature for May? As I need to know for packing as we are staying there for 3 nights.

I wouldn't pack anything more for L.A. Your casual cruise clothes should be fine.

If he still has the hiccups, have him dump a packet of sugar (or about a teaspoon) as far back in his mouth as he can and then just swallow it. DrHug swears by this remedy and it has worked everytime that I know of. There is some scientific explaination for it, but I married him so I would not have to remember that stuff. At one of the hospitals he worked at he convinced a nurse to try it on a patient that had the hiccups forever and it worked. Nurse and patient were amazed.

I told John he needs to sit and think today how much cash we should actually take.....I am so undecided....don't want to charge much.

Hopefully doing the excursions on our own will help a bit as well. We don't so the speciality coffee so no worries with Cove Cafe....the spa would be nice, but at our rehab here at work an hour is $30-40....maybe a few rainforest trips. We'll bring drinks for some savings....Aside from pins and maybe a few shirts or ornaments I don't see us buying much from the cruise shops......

Don't worry V... I'll fill in for your purchases!!! They won't lose money this trip!!!

There is a couple getting vows renewed - could be one of our Oz couples, but I don't think we are invited to that one!!! Sensible people.

I would choose the DL Hotel last out of the three hotels on property due to the fact it is farther away then the other two. I have friends who have stayed at the candy cane and they all loved how close it was.

And it wasn't even a problem walking, dripping wet from Grizzly River back to the hotel! (I've walked around dripping wet from Grizzley River quite a bit!)

Our favorite bartender! Bonita!!

She lead our martini tasting! She was great.

I stopped by Macys on the way home. Got a pair of crocs to match Venitia's and a pair of the standard Beaches style in red on sale for $15! Love half price. I did pay full price for the black slip ons. I am so looking forward to wearing them to work tomorrow!

Oh yeah, making those guys wear black pants and white shirts with pocket protectors and driving a new bug that looks like a police car is way cool? NOT.

Time for bed. Took me an hour and a half to clear snow tonight. That was AFTER I had to fix the blower. It started revving really high - I thought it was going to blow up! It is a Deere two stroke single stage blower. I called the hardware store, and they thought it was the throttle governor. I went back out to the garage with a wrench with Amy yelling "you're not a mechanic!"

As it turns out, it was the muffler - it had shaken so bad, that the two long bolts that hold it over the engine head had completely vibrated off. Simple fix.

The snow that fell today was really wet and really heavy. It took several passes to clear the drive and the walks.
