Great news Lisa! Vanessa is one lucky girl...2 trips to WDW during her year here (didn't you go with her 1 other time?)! You will have a great time!

OMG - Don't you remember Vanessa ran away one night to a party for the Norway kids that work at Epcot. I made her PROMISE she and her sister will not leave my side this time.......You guys encourged me to go ahead and take them....Vanessa really has been PERFECT since then.....she really is a great kid.

Well, I think everyone knows I won the House Party host sweepstakes (one of two winners)--that was back in Jan.

I went to see the nurse for tetenus this morning but she told me that I already had it by March 03!! I cannot remember it oh dear maybe too many stress!! I think I went to Australia in 03, I must had it before went away.

Oh well no injection today phew!!

I asked for Hep A etc for Mexico and nurse checked it up and told me that we don't need it cos only one day each unless if visit the jungle or stay overnight. She gave me the paperwork to read it for the Cruise.

Oh well another no injection for us.

I hope we are safe while we are in tours?

We have never had either shot and spend 2-3 weeks a year in Mexico. You'll be fine!

Just noticed your 'location'. What kind of horses do you raise? I'll be spending part of this weekend at the International Arabian Horse Show. Sister Peg used to work at a Thoroughbred ranch on Long Island years ago. (She's the horsewoman of the family, I've just been her enabler when she was little!)

I teach riding and run a boarding stable. We're a mixed bag; Arabs, Morgans, paints, QH and a very large Percheron.

My first horse was a Morgan/Thoroughbred mix. His name was Thunder...and it fit! I later had a grade Buckskin mare (quarterhorse type) and she threw some beautiful half-Arab foals (before and after I owned her)! I also had a 7/8 Arab gelding the Peggy broke and trained and I gave him to her for her high school graduation.

Now, as a fat, middle aged lady...I just watch those lovely animals!

I'm rather upset today. I don't usually bare my soul but ...

Got a huge shock this morning at work.

Someone I work with was found dead in her condo last night. I worked with her at another company. She was a really nice and smart lady. She didn't show up at work yesterday after the long weekend. They phoned and there was no answer. Work called the police who broke into the condo. She died sometime over the weekend. About 1/3 of my company all came from this other company and we all knew each other. I was just pissed off and angry all day.

It was just one of those days.

So sorry to hear this. For you and all those who loved her.

Who put the bad idea into my head that maybe we should stay to see DL after the cruise? We've never been. The kids have school Tuesday. I'm afraid it is going to be incredibly crowded by the time we get there on Sun, and we really need to come home Monday at a decent hour. We have DW hopper tickets we could use, what to do?

I'm thinking we should go over to the Disneyland forum and post a thread asking all the SoCal DISers to STAY HOME on Sunday!

Hi guys:

Popping in late tonight asking for some prayers and

My MIL has fallen off the wagon and we've found out that my FIL has been enabling her buy buying and bringing her booze.

We checked her in the hospital for detox tonight and will most likely get her in the morning and have her stay with us thru the weekend while we look to get her out of town to a rehab clinic.

She has done quite a few programs around here and not had sucess, but always comes home to the same issues with her husband, FIL.

She is at a very low point and during the past New Years holidays she had 2 attempts at suicide. This was not the first time for this all became very clear to us when this all came to light.

Hopefully we have gotten between MIL & FIL this time to get her to a place that she can recover and make better choices. I'm just at a loss. I just spent the last hour online looking and not knowing what and where to turn.

It's hard being the outside DIL the boys (Paul and his brother) aren't assertive with there father and clearly he is not making the situtation better for MIL.

Wish us luck and strenght in dealing with this over the next few days and weeks.

I'll be here as I can, as I know the support you guys offer is so sorely needed to get me thru.

Did everyone see the eclipse last night? We had a beautiful night - saw the orange glow, as well as all the neighbors and kids staring at the night sky....

It seems we have had a batch of really bad news with family and friends. Prayers and pixie dust for those who need it - And a little guardian angel to watch over them.

We were supposed to have clouds (well, we live in Oregon, of course we were supposed to have clouds!), but it was clear and beautiful. We had a great show from our deck!

You HAVE to see where all the Magic began! Spend Sunday and most of the day Monday. Use Hydroguys tactics. But, then maybe I am not really the person to ask because I am known to be a Disneyholic.
