So, how are everybody's excursions coming along??

We decided to keep all of our original picks ... guess we are finally getting it right the first time!!

We booked the following:

Castaway Cay - Walking & Kayaking Adventure

Aruba - Sailing & Snorkeling

Acapulco - Mini Jeep Rhino Adventure

Puerto Vallarta - Las Caletas Hideaway

Cabo San Lucas - Canyon Canopy Adventure


Is anyone joining us??

Hi Gydell.....LOVE having you back with us more regularly. Any more trips planned? We missed you!

The wound is under control but the edema is out of control. I really need the boot. They called and said they will check with my insurance and order it and then call me back to schedule a time to bring it to me and show me how to use it etc. We have to get the edema under control so that we won't get the wounds back and the cellulitis. Both legs are very swollen and red right now. I'm a little wobbly when I walk. But we're working on it and will get it under control in time for the cruise. Thank you for asking.

I think that is a "once a day only" offering.

We've done it before, but the kids haven't, so it should be fun.

We are having some discussions right now ... so far SweetTarts and Reeses Pieces are "on the list".

I think Preludes is REALLY expensive. Do any of you buy from them? If so, what do you buy??

The first cruise, my kids (then 8-9-10) liked the paintcan powder thing where you licked the brush and kept dipping for more powder. But YIKES the $$$. I have since found similar items at the local CVS store. But, they have moved on to Dove bites and Creme Savers.

Sorry about your legs. Hopefully they will be ready to cruise!

The worst experience in a movie theatre was a lady who answered her cell phone during the movie, and she chatted away as if she were alone in her living room. Arrgghhh!

We have "somewhat" finalized our plans for WDW pre-cruise.

We are arriving Thursday on a redeye at 6am (3am to us)

We will pick up our minivan, take advantage of early check-in, eat the free (very nice) breakfast and then ... go to sleep for a few hours.

We are then heading to DTD and Disney Quest. The kids really want to "make and ride their own rollercoasters". I never knew this was available, so it should be lots of fun. We will spend most of the day at DTD, then off to Walmart and a liquor store for last minute things like aerosol Solarcaine (we always burn), Malibu Rum and other "essential items". Maybe find a mini-golf after dinner.

Friday we are heading to Animal Kingdom (okay we may still swap for Typhoon Lagoon), and will head to the Radisson at the Port for the evening.

Who else is staying at the Radisson???

Unfortunately, I can't do both at the same time. I sit up on the couch with my laptop and DIS and I have to sit in the love seat with a foot stool to elevate.....two different places and I don't often switch over to the love seat so I don't elevate as often as I should.

Any way to get that foot stool over by the couch?

or sit sideways on the couch?

Do both legs need to be up or only one? If only one, could you side sort-of halfway sideways so that leg is on the couch and only the other one is on the floor?

I hope you find something that works so you can elevate AND DIS!!

I do know that Julie, (MexicanMouseketeer) has offered to get some authentic stuff for any who want, which I would quite like to do, but not sure what type of things are available.



Nobody has heard anything unfortunately.

I have been looking on ebay as well, but I really like looking at clothing in person. I to have concerns about the sheerness of some of the women's clothing available on ebay.

I am pretty sure I have seen things. I think they may be a little more expensive than you might find other places though.

Right now my options are ebay, epcot or wait until we hit Acapulco. If I see something at Epcot, I may just go ahead and get it.

DH is 6'4". If we find something for him it will probably be expensive no matter where we get it.

For those of you at the port the night before it looks like we are going to be going to Fishlips instead of Grills. It's 1 or 2 down from Grills and with a group of around 30 they will take ressies. They have about the same food as Grills. I think we are looking to meet around 5:30 but not sure. Deb knows more than I do on the time. Closer to the date we can get an exact count.
