I wish I had known to ask for help with this 5 years ago...my insticts over the past 5 years brought us to the place of not including them in anything, but then DHbreaks down and feels sorry for her. Oh well, no looking back I'm just moving it forward. We are on a stronger path now, and have lots of support and will continue to vocalize our problem and seek offers of advice from those that have dealt with this.

Thanks for your words. They have very much reinforced what I heard from MIL therapist.

OK....gonna jump in the shower, make a quick stop at the library, then pick up Tyler from his dad's. We're going to Chuck E. Cheese tonight because I promised him we would as a reward for a couple good days at school. He asked if we can go right when I pick him up. Saturday evening is the WORST time to go, but we'll be there! Unless they're at full capacity and they tell us nobody else can come in until some people leave. That's happened before. If that happens, we'll go tomorrow before lunch when it's not so busy.

I know this will sound corny, but you have said you are having a lot of stress. When I feel overwhelmed I make a list of all that is stressful, big or small, insignificant or important. EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

Tackle just one thing, make it small. Then cross it off. It's a good feeling and a start.

It sounds like you have alot of financial concerns, ask around about free financial counseling. They may be able to help with the college loans, scholarship info and so on.

Our first table mates told me that DCL does an expert job of matching people to "like" people (professionals, kids/no kids, ages etc.) I don't know if that is true or not, but we've been very lucky in this way.

DM and I, live in Toronto, both work at post-secondary institutes, we were seated with an older couple, DM age, from Toronto, the husband worked at a post-secondary institute, lol.

Last December John, 60 and I, 59 were seated with a couple of young girls, 26 and 29!!! However, we had a fantastic time and a load of fun. We would all choose to share again if there was chance.

Thanks it is really nice to have a second, and third etc opinion. I have bought them all online. So sometimes I do get a shock when things show up and look a wee bit different but for the most part have been doing ok with my online luck.
