We have a Verizon broadband card for our MACs and were going to stop at the Verizon store today and check on this and find out what the cost would be. Not sure if it would work while we are at sea but should be able to hook-up when we are in port. Will let everyone know what we find out.

I-Chat hooked-up fine, with no changes to the set up, last week when I was at a Hampton Inn in PA last week so problem is with our ISP.

We did have a good time! We will not be in my favorite hammock this trip though. I think we want to spend most of the day at Serenity Bay since we did not make it over there in Dec. I'll have your stateroom number though from PJ's list and can drop them by.

Right now I am still gty, but I will be sure to post it to PJ's list but if I don't get the cabin # when the others do surely we will be seeing each other on the ship. Thanks for your trouble.

John, if Tyler weren't at his dad's and wasn't getting over being sick, we probably would drive down! He'd probably love getting to meet Sophia before the cruise! Oh....and the chance to bounce like crazy for a while would be a bonus....AND birthday cake!

Holly, you can use our cat 6 stateroom (if we get out of the lifeboat that is ) for naps if you start having trouble in yours. We probably won't be in it much during the day. I have problems with claustrophobia. Spent 5 mins. in my FIL's inside on RCCL one time and had to leave. Have spent a little more time in the ones on DCL but still need to have that window.

Thanks Carol. I'm going to hope for the best though. We'll just wing it. I do have the option of popping out to the aft deck 7 while he naps, so I think that will work. That way he can be comfy in his own room.

Oh no! Lisa, you're doing such a wonderful job taking care of SO many people. I have no idea how you do it and keep your sanity. You're truly an unbelievable person and if the ones your taking care of don't realize it, EVERYBODY here sure does. Many people, not just me, have commented here about what a great job your'e doing caring for your mom, Frank, and everybody else under the sun. AMAZING! Hang in there.....vacation is right around the corner!

You have my sympathy and my admiration. We had my mom living with us before she died and that was all she did. It started getting to us and we only had one. I have sworn NOT to be like her when I get really old. Some old people think they have earned the right to be grumpy. Me, I think you get farther being nice. Hang in there, the cruise is just around the corner.

This is a fast moving board, hard to keep up with all the posts! But this is a good thing. The boys and I are still stuck in the life boat, but at least we have a few activities planned and can share with the other life boat crew (even if I can't get a spare vest for a pillow!). Has anyone ever gone to the single's lunches on board? Are they worth attending or just plain boring. This is the first time the boys and I are traveling without any of my sibs or my folks. Of course this means that this single dad will have at least 2 very late nights in one of the laundry rooms! (you can have room service send you cookies and milk/coffee to the laundry room to help ease the pain!) Do we want to identify the other single parents traveling and plan a special event for us for when we don't have the kids?

Ok, I am off to take the kids to special saturday enrichment class!

You know, I've never attended any of the DCL singles lunches, but this cruise...with all the solo DISers....we could turn it into a singles-DIS meet!

I understand that a collection of CM's attend, so it's also a nice chance to meet some of the crew!

OK EVERYONE...

TRIED AND TRUE NATURAL WAY OF GETTING RID OF KIDNEY STONES!!!!

(It's tried because I tried it and it's true because dam(n) IT WORKED!!!

Just thought I'd catch anyone on here who has had to suffer with the wonderful malady called the dreaded KS....

After 3 painful weeks of trying everything I could (including going to the Dr...)I found this on the internet - under home remedies...

You take

3 oz of EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil as Rachel Ray says...)

&

4 oz concentrated lemon juice. (I used the Real Lemon one - tastes the best and it comes in a bigger bottle...)

Mix the two together really good...

And drink...

It's not the best taste, but it's really not that bad..(the lemon helps...) they say you can put in sugar if you don't like sour things.. I personally grew up sucking lemons because my mom had to suck lemons when she was pregnant with me (blocked gland) so it's not too bad. The lemon juice will either break it up or take the edgier parts off and the EVOO just makes it slide better...

And Hey.... my skin has been looking really good in the last week!!!

They say to repeat every 8 hours until pain has passed.

I took Frank to the doctor yesterday....the cardiologist (sp?)

He is anemic (sp?) and they put him on Iron for that. He is carring way to much water in his limbs......they gave him 2 meds for that......but his heart is strong and his oxygen is good.

I counted this morning....he takes 9 pills in the morning and 3 at night.

The driving is now the issue....the Plastic Surgeon (the guy that tied his body back together) said he had to get permission from the cardiologist....the cardiolgist said the heart surgeon must approve the driving....the Heart Surgeon said the Plastic Surgeon had to make that call....

He can not use his left arm at all.....we have an appointment to see a Neurologist in 1 1/2 weeks...we have waited a month for this appointment.

Holly, I am beginning to know how you feel with all the different doctors.
