HI everybody! Just returned from a fun night out with the girls! :goodvibes Only 19 pages to catch up on? Since I was too busy to catch up while at work I figured there would be 30 pages from all day today and tonight, the way you've all been gabbing lately! OH......well, I suppose I had a hand in that too! :lmao:

Off to catch up!

Oh you have to come - I need someone to share Smarties with!!! Don't forget to make a magnet out of picture of DS and Bobby!!!
LOVE the idea of a magnet picture of Tyler & Bobby! Too funny!

Speaking of Bobby, I keep forgetting to attend to Bobby and he's not happy about my repeated promises to try to find his leaks so he can have more fun adventures. Will try to do so this weekend! :thumbsup2 In the meantime, he's been spending lots of time napping on the couch, getting caught up on relaxation.

Eat some for me, please

Someone gave us a 2 lb mix for christmas that I threw out when I decided to do weight watchers (I'd eaten all the good ones and took bites out of anything that looked good). My standing Valentines gift from DH is a pound of caramels with a few scotchies. I'll have to tell him to just get me one :sad1:

do you mean, eat another :lmao: after you mentioned them I had to get one ya know....:lmao:

Ok my TA just confirmed what KrisannB said.

Guess I'm switching from a Value resort to a moderate. Just after my wife conivinced me we should stay at the Value resort because that was the one thing we were disappointed in with the CBR - it never felt like we were IN Disney at the hotel. We wanted to feel like we were in Disney the whole time.

So which moderate does everyone recommend? POR, POFQ or CS? Remember that I am travelling with a 6 and 3 year old and we don't really plan on spending much time in the hotel, but will be going from morning til night at the parks.

We love CS. And if you decide on P&P for Friday night CS has an awesome pool area to hang out at during the day.

Happy Chinese New Year/Lunar New Year/Tet! It was officially yesterday, but we are beginning our celebration tonight with dinner, then tomorrow with a big celebration and parade in downtown Dallas.

DH and I aren't really Asian, but our DD11 was born in Vietnam. We tell her she's our ticket to all of this fun celebration in early February each year!

Anyone else cruising with us with Asian kids around her age? She always seems to find an Asian friend on board each year.

Happy New Year!! We just got home from a CNY party. Our family also gets to participate in the fun by association.

My nine-almost 10-year old DD is not Asian, but our two youngest were adopted from China. We have been home with our 4 year old just 1 week today! (That is why I am just now getting back on the boards--the past several months have been very busy with paperwork and preparation for travel.)

Thanks - I can't catch up. Busy at work, and trying to wrap things up to fly out for the service.

DH and I had a long "discussion" and I usually win discussions (isn't that how it is suppose to work??) but this one sadly I didn't. He feels now strongly that leaving and spending the money for the cruise is not a good for us as a family. I totally am bummed, and am trying to deal with it. I will manage the fish teams as that will be so much fun, and I hope to see many pictures. But I am calling Disney to cancel. :sad1: I will miss meeting you all, although I'm certain many of us will meet on future cruises. I will still stay on the boards if you all don't mind and live my vacation through you guys!!! And you all be sure to have a DOD for me on May 16, the Panama Canal day!!
Lisa

I am so sad and sorry....I was solooking forward to meeting you and your whole family!!

I think Lisa and Holly are on line too - so good morning to you too!

Hmmmmm.....I must have been trying to sneak a peek while at work this morning! ;)

Holly - did you see my note about the flight on Airtran out of Flint?

Yup, but decided on a flight from Lansing to avoid the huge parking expense.

Tonight I'm off to dinner w/ good friends at PF Changs - heard it's got good food, so eating a small amount at lunch to allow for more calories at dinner.

LOVE PF Changs!

I'm hoping they get there pretty early cuz I have to go to the Post Office to pick up my pkg from ebay w/ my Mexican night dress.
I have to go pick up my Mexican night dress from the PO tomorrow. Delivery was attempted today while I was at work.

 Lisa, I am soooo sorry to hear this. I know it was a difficult decision for you to make and that it is the best for your family. We will miss you and you can be sure that we will all find a PC camera on the 16th and raise a banner for you and make a toast in your honor (sound good everyone?)!!! Hope to meet you and your family some day!

Talk about an emotional rollacoster,
DH just said we should just go.

I don't know....I have to get on-line later as all 4 boys are in the room and I just snuck on to post this... I think I might need Prozac!
Lisa

SEIZE THE OPPORTUNITY! :yay: We all WANT you to go, if that's any incentive. Besides, Deck 2's gonna be arocking with all the boy power...but if you can't come I'll understand. :sad1:

Marilyn - if I send you cash would you be willing to bring me some FRUITGUMS? real ones???! I will send xxxxtra!

Isn't it amazing how different candies are in other countries? I used to go to Canada all the time to get the coffee crunch?(can'teven remember the name) and when I lived in England there was another one I was addicted to. Scott loves the wine gummies that they sell in Canada, I wonder if they are similar.

Hi guys . . .

It has been a busy couple of days, and I have not had time to even stop by to read. Therefore I am 50 pages behind as I get on here tonight.

Amy is right now flying somewhere over the Pacific on her way to Tokyo, and then on to the Philippines. She arrives at 11:00 am our time, 11:00 pm their time.

I took her to the airport today thinking I would take the day off - no go. Way too behind at the office. I am trying to take next week off, but we will see how that goes.

I wasted a lot of time yesterday because they got me a new phone - a Blackberry, so I was busy converting from my Treo on top of everything else. Now I have email and the web on my phone, but this Blackberry is darn tough to type on! (Pearl). The web is nowhere near as good as on the iPhones I have seen. I tried getting on the DIS with it, and it is almost illegible.

I will do my best to just read and not make stale comments.

John...best of luck to you over the next few weeks...we'll be here if you need an ear!

Amy....have an amazing time!!

OMGosh people!!! ENOUGH WITH THE SEE'S TALK!!! It's my favorite in the whole wide world and you're making me want some...can't blow my diet!

Hey... not sure if this was posted yet... but Shirley just put this on the info thead about Thrifty rentals....

EVERYONE BE AWARE:
Thrifty Car rental is now charging a drop off fee of $25.00 for folks that pick up transportation in Orlando and drop off here.
I spoke to Stephanie Bailey one of the GM's and told her that it appears that Thrifty doesn't realize the impact that this will make on their business and I would be posting there new "charges" so be aware of this extra charge.
Always
Shirley

Congratulations on your daughters. Where in China are they from? My sister has two daughters from China (Fuling and Lianping - near Chongqing). I was able to go on both trips with her. It was such an adventure but they are such a joy.

Evening all,

I've been reading most of the postings about people getting ready for the big day on Sunday when those of us that can book at 90 days get our turn to do so.

I have also read more than a few comments from people who have already had the good fortune to book early, saying that they would try and snag those excursions, reservations at palos etc they were unable to get, when they open up at 90 days.:rolleyes1

I am hoping that fair play will rule the day here, and we can all have an equal chance of getting what we have been planning for since last January:thumbsup2

(looking forward to a long night/morning here in Ottawa on dial-up):surfweb:

I'd say POFQ, it is small so easy to get around and the girls will like the pool. POR is good if you get lucky on the building. I was not impressed with CS, you could end up a 15-20 minute walk from the food court.

What if you bagged the DCL transfer and got a towncar or some other of your own transportation? You could stay wherever you wanted.
