May 1, 2016 - Magic 7 nt cruise!

I posted the list that I'll be using above. Please let me know if I left anyone out. Was just trying to make things easier for Angela (Abwmpa). She was sooo awesome to volunteer to get the original list up and running for all of us.

Thanks Theresa (Chrisem), for the updated list. I plan on buying for everyone and am really looking forward to the FE. Thanks everyone for your help and support. Please remember that I will keep a copy of the list on my door (6101). If you change rooms please make the update by 5:00 on our first night. If everyone could stop by, I will leave a notepad on my door so you can take notes of changes before you make your deliveries.

I wanted to let everyone know that we the Roca's changed our cabin from 7007 to 2036. Also, I forgot to include my name and my husband's. It's Kayla and Juan Pablo.

The list on Page 9 has been updated to reflect the change.

I think 50 (including our own family) is a good number. I'm not sure that I could justify to my husband bringing along more treats. I'm already nervous that I'll need an additional checked bag at the airport just to carry the stuff for the 50. :duck:

TXLender, did you want to include your daughters' names? If not, no problem but if you don't mind I like to make something personalized with all your names.

The post on page 9 has been edited to reflect your names. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm so excited. My kids have no idea how great this is gonna be!

Does anyone know about a formal dinner night? We've only been on Disney's 4 day cruise and this will be our first longer cruise. I read something about a formal dinner night. Does anyone know anything about this??

What would you like to know? Mostly people dress up and get to meet the crew. There are drinks and a set up for professional photos. It is a lot of fun. But what else can I answer for you?

How dressy are we talking? I'm guessing a summer type dress will be ok or is it more formal? Also, are we talking a colored shirt and khakis for the hubby or a full suit?

So it literally runs from one extreme to another. You see everything on the men from tuxedos to linen trousers to golf attire. The women dress in everything from gowns to spring time dresses. This is the night I make hubby wear a suit and my daughter (12) and I wear our nicer dresses so that we can have our yearly family photos made. It also depends on the demographics of who is on board. The concierge level is full so that tells me that you might see a little more formal dresses running around than normal. I would say "cocktail" attire would make you comfortable regardless of what everyone else is doing. Does that help at all?

Yes, that's great! Now I just need to figure out how to pack everything!

SO that sounds more rhetorical than a direct question, but I'm going to answer it anyway! :-) When my daughter and I pack our dresses, and I make everyone dress up for dinner every night (dresses for us and trousers for hubby) we pack our dresses in our suitcase on top of everything else already on the throw away hangers from the dry cleaners. The humidity helps draw out any wrinkles and when we pack to go home, we leave the throw away hangers as everything is going to the dry cleaners or wash anyhow. That creates some space for the purchases we make and reduces the weight from when we travel to the ship. All three of us take our own suitcase and if we scuba dive, then we take a fourth. In addition, we each have a carry on for odds and ends that do not fit in the suitcase. Mostly we have our bathing suits, day pack stuff, and I might smuggle another pair of shoes in there too! Do not worry about shampoo/conditioner, soap, lotion, and blow dryer - all of that is available on board as are towels. DO take a water bottle that you can refill though you can buy bottle water, but that can get expensive very quickly so I advise a pre-order if that is how you want to go. They have small disposable cups, but I drink A LOT of water. OK, I am literally bouncing up and down with excitement! Any other non-question, questions??

Hahahahaha!! I'm sure I'll have a bunch more questions as the time gets closer. Did you book any of the excursions? We're gonna do the half day trip to the Baths and the Kon Tiki boat in St Thomas.

Hi...I completely understand if we missed the deadline since we booked after that date! I absolutely don't want to inconvenience anyone. I read back through the thread and saw the original list posted so if a second list doesn't start I will simply buy for that original and bring some of my own gifts to give to my children so they feel like they are part of all the excitement:earsboy:

If anyone does have extras and wants to include us our details are below. Thank you and hopefully I will have a chance to meet some of the people on this thread....we are so excited for this cruise!!! :tigger:
