Starting to get my head around how MaxPass works. Any tips for how to do MP if you have a hopper and will be there at early entry rope drop? If I understand correctly, you can start pulling as soon as you enter, even though return times may not be until the park opens. Is there any really good strategy, other than just pulling for a ride you expect to go quickly since you’ll be using most of your required wait time during the early entry hour?

I like to book my first fast pass as early as I can for whatever park I am not doing an early entry in. If I am there early I can usually walk on to the first few rides. Then when the park starts to get busier I have my first fastpass in the other park.
So if early morning starts at 8 in Disneyland I would use it and book my first fastpass for around 9:30-10 in California Adventure.

My strategy is to get my first Fastpass for the park that has early entry, because those Fastpass times start earlier, making it that I can get more total Fastpasses. For example, if both parks opens at 9 but DCA has EMH at 8, the first Fastpass in DCA will be from 9-10 and the first one in Disneyland will be 9:30-10:30.
