So, I bought the tickets, I received an email saying "the phone is your ticket" & I can click to "access tickets". I haven't done this yet.

MaxPass - HOW do I get that to sync up, or does it happen automatically since I purchased with the tickets?
Should I access my tickets while I'm standing in line to enter or a day ahead or...what?

I am technologically challenged, I come from a time where everything important was on paper!

You can print the ticket if you're more comfortable with that. You have the choice to use your phone as your ticket, you don't have to. I don't think it matters when you click the button as long as you're ready to go when you get to the front of the line.

If you already purchased MaxPass when you bought the tickets, then I imagine the system knows that and you shouldn't have to do anything special to activate it. Make sure you have the app downloaded and you're signed in. My experience has been that if I buy my tickets directly from Disney using my account, they will already show up in the app automatically. But if they don't, you can add them easily.

I added MaxPass to my AP last year. It was automatically synched. Just use the same e-mail address to order both.

Did you buy the ticket on the actual DL app? If so, it's already there on the app with Max Pass already attached to it.

Open your DL app. Look down towards the bottom and touch the round button (mine has a picture of Minnie on it). It will show your profile. Look at 'Park Info and Entry' and you'll see 'my tickets'. Touch that and there your ticket is and should show something like "XXX day Hopper with Max Pass".

If you bought the ticket from Disney online and did it logged in to your Disney account, I'd think it would automatically show up on the app if you're logged in to it, but I'm not sure. The last time I bought online was two years ago and I was still a 'paper person' and too paranoid so I just printed the paper ticket voucher. But you can do what I said above and if it links from the website to your app, your ticket will be there. You aren't going to 'hurt' anything by looking at the ticket (like I used to worry about!).

eTickets are really easy and I'm of the 'paper generation', too. My sons got me used to them by making me use Fandango to order movie tickets. Now I love them.

How does the max pass sync up if you bought the tickets somewhere else? Just wondering for our trip in May.

I just had this same question. My eTicket voucher will be from LMTClub for reference. I was told by Dis members who have done so that I'd be able to scan the bar code from the voucher into the Disney App, turning it into an eTicket. They said that any ticket/voucher with a bar code can be scanned to the app and you can do it in advance. Apparently if your 'advance ticket' does not have a bar code you have to wait until you get your actual hopper as you go through the turnstile and scan that into the app.

Once you have the ticket on the app you then add Max Pass. I'm assuming that I'll have to wait until I get past the turnstiles to do so regardless of whether or not I can scan my LMT voucher ahead of time.

Caveat: I haven't tried any of this myself, I'm relying on others' experiences.

This is all correct

If you did not/could not add MaxPass when you purchased the tickets (like if you bought from a third party), you cannot add it until your ticket has been scanned into the parks for that day. Each day, as soon as you enter, you can purchase MaxPass. It's super easy and fast - I did it walking to the rope in the morning and had our first FPs before we even reached it.

Another great idea by Disney to get more of your money. Make it reasonably inexpensive at first to get people hooked and then up she goes!!!:sad2:
