MaxJet gone :-(

Sad news, Maxjet have filed for bankruptcy and have stopped flying.

Don't think it will be the last this coming year, sad news, the owners took a risk and invested their money, but the risk did not pay off.

This is a big shame, i flew them last year and despite a delay on the way home thought they were really good value for money. I posted on v-flyer about my trip at the time, and the VP of customer care called me to applogise and offer me $500 off a flight, this was from that post, i did not contact them at all! was very impressed, you wont find BA virgin or just about any other airline doing that!

Shame I dident get to use my $500 - what horrible news for the poor folks that worked for them, over xmas too, such a shame.

I know, we had our summer holiday flight booked with them. They have contacted us though with details how to get our money back. We have had to re book with Virgin which has cost more, plus it is a pain as we were flying to LA then back from Las Vegas. So now we have to fly out of Heathrow then back into Gatwick instead of going/returning to Stansted which is a lot nearer to where we live. I've had to do a lot of nice talking to my relatives who were giving us lifts to/from the airport over the past few days!!

We flew with them to Vegas earlier this year and it was my first pleasant flying experience. So I'm very sad to see they didn't make it. I'm hoping Silverjet and Eos will take on a few more routes in the US to make u for it
