Maxima scooter on buses?

I thought I read somewhere that the bus drivers have issues with the maxima scooters on the buses? Can someone fill me in on this or if i'm just crazy lol! Thanks so much!

As long as its within the ada specifications (30" X 48") then they will take it.

I would look at the specifications of the manufacturer and make sure. The bus driver isn't going to care what the web site says if its too big.

That's a nice scooter, it is big at 28" x 47", which is just under the DOT requirements, they may think it's too big if they look too quick, but it should fit.

Buena Vista is one of the Disney 'Preferred Vendors' for ECVs.
From correspondence with dome of the vendor, I know they had to agree to rent ECVs that fit within the size guidelines that Disney provided. So, I would not be concerned about it not fitting on the buses.

Also, each bus stop at the resorts have a box painted on the ground with a wheelchair symbol. If your ECV fits inside there, it will certainly fit in the bus.

That model of ECV is a large one, so practice before getting onto the bus for the first time will help you to park it.
