So we are doing the DxDP for the frist time and really wanted to try as many places as we can. So on our 7 day run,i have plans on some days to try 4 ts meals. Now I am not planning on eating 4 full ts,at least I do not plan to. I am more planning on eatting what I can from as many diffrent places. So I was wondering whats the most ts meals you can eat, with out feeling over blown in a day. Have you eatten at more then three?,and did a more atste and sample and was able to do it that way?.
I know that the tS take a bit of time, and I am willing to do thiis on this trip

So are you planning on not eating some days? I'm not sure how you are doing 4 ts a day since you only get 3 a day. Are you not counting a day do to travel? I personally can't imagine eating 4 meals a day. (PLUS all those snacks!) We did 3 meals the first time and it was WAY too much. Now we do 2 meals a day and do shows/signatures. I think you will spend all day eating and traveling to eat. 90 minutes a meal x 4 meals = 6hrs! YIKES! That is assuming you aren't traveling to or from to get there too. I guess if that's what you want and don't have kids you'd be ok... who is traveling with you?

I've done 3 TS in a day a couple of times, and even split a snack or two on those days. Still, I can't imagine having a 4th TS under normal circumstances.

If you are going to try this, some suggestions:

Try to pass on buffets. It's way too easy to over-do it when portions aren't controlled by the kitchen. If you must, do a very early breakfast buffet.

Plan for a long day. My experience has been with kids and our days basically ended with dinner and to the resort for bed by 8 PM. To do a 4 TS day, I'd suggest planning on doing a late dinner. Similarly, try and space out the meals as best as possible, maybe something like 7:30 breakfast, 12:00 lunch, 4:30 or 5:00 early dinner, and 9:00 or 10:00 late dinner.

Walk -- a lot -- between meals. This might be a good day to skip rides and shows and just spend time walking around taking in the sights and sounds. That should aid digestion and possibly even build an appetite for the next meal.

Sounds like you are doing a trip that revolves around the food...my mom and I had that sort of trip last September on the Deluxe plan...and it was AWESOME.

We only did 2 meals a day, spreading it out for arrival and departure day. By the end of the trip we were pretty full and didn't eat a whole lot.

So I would say if you plan 4 meals a day...that's fine...but I wouln't expect to be able to EAT everything. It would be more like sampling. Which is fine if that's what you want to do. There is so much INCREDIBLE food at Disney.

But I would try to do the heavy food days at the front end of the trip because by the end you may be worn out...lol! Or maybe do a heavy day and then use the snack credits the next day with one TS at a signature or something so that you have a chance to rest in between heavy days.

As long as you plan it out right it should work out. Have fun and ENJOY that food because it is SO good!

In the past we usually do two TS meals a day where pretty use to that,we do not care to much for the QS or counter service meals except for a couple. 4 meals a day Is alot and yes I was thinking along the lines of the sampeling idea. Its so easy to plan it out ahed of time but the thought of actually sitting down eatting 4 meals:scared1:, thats why I was wondering if any had done this before?. Sounds like 3 meals,is about the max and then maybe that third meal would be lighter. Ok I was going to post my ADR plans but i have some re thinking to do:confused3.

We did deluxe dining for 5 nights in January. We did a 1 credit lunch and a 2 credit dinner each night. We were SOOOO stuffed. By the last couple of meals we did not even want to order some items. It is also very time consuming! Deluxe dining is hard when you want to do and see everything in the parks.

Time is something we have plenty of. This will be our what 6th trip, and in years past we where park crazy. We where able to do all the parks a day and still do 2 ts. Time to slow down a bit,we see the restraunts as a extension of our park vists. We enjoy them so much that we build our day around them. Now I am not going to say this is how everyone should do it,but this works for us. It gives me time to talk with my DS with what we did and what we will do,it slows things down just enough to appreciate where we are.

Are you really going to attempt to eat lunch twice and then have dinner? What are you thinking time wise for those? We loved the DxDP and opted for 3 TS meals a day at 8 am, 2 pm and 8 pm. It worked well for us and we never felt stuffed. But, there is no way on this earth that we would have attempted to push our meals any closer than we had them or add a 4th meal in there. We would have quickly become

I would also think that if you have too meals, too close together that you are not going to make good use of your credits because you are not going to feel like ordering your full meal entitlement. Too many meals like that could easily lead to you losing most (if not all) of the value of the DxDP.

Yikes!

I can't imagine eating 3 TS meals in one day. Two is the limit for me (breakfast and dinner).

Remember, you have to pay for the tips on the food even if you don't eat it.

I think you will be better off doing more 1 TS meal for breakfast and then a 2TS credit dinner (signature or show). You still have 2 snack credits each to use for lunches.

I do the DDP and share CS meals with my niece.

I always wanted to try Coral reef, I am not a big fish eater and beside the steak theres not much i would pick from there so I could sample bits there, but again i want to try it. San angel is place i wanted to try for a while so again I would just eat light there again. Its something newI admit but hay theres a frist for everything.:cool1:

We don't do this every day of our trip, but maybe about half the days. We are used to eating 3 meals/day at home, so its not a big stretch to do the same at WDW, especially with all that walking! We have an early breakfast, around 8, usually at a character meal. We play in the park till about 1, and have a nice lunch (preferably in Epcot), then either go back to the room for a bit or play in the parks till dinner, at 6:30 or 7. We are definetly stuffed towards the end of the trip, but enjoy making good food part of our trip.

On Sat the 24th, you mention lunch at 12, and not eating again till midnight. I'm guessing you are staying on site, since you are using the DP. Why not have a big breakfast at WDW before US? Then a later lunch at Hard Rock, so it won't be 12 hours before dinner?

I actually thought of that and had been going back and fourth with the thought of going to Chef Mickeys that Morining, but In IOA they have some rides that, how should I say it??:rotfl2:,shake me up a little:rotfl2:. So my thought Is very light Breakfast that way It stays down:scared1:. But Hard rock and Maggatrita ville are two of our Favor's,so I had to see how to work them in. How late we get out of HHN is unknown because this will be our frist. So exactly what time:confused3,safe to say at least after 10pm.

I think you have the right idea with this. Since you are paying OOP anyway...it won't be a big deal if you get hungrey mid way between the two and grab a small mean or snack. I haven't been to HHN in a few years but it was very cool. What time you get out really depends on you and what you want to get done that night. 11-12 is probably a safe bet if you plan to experience most of what there is to offer at HHN (if I remember it correctly).

Sounds like you are really going to have a great trip. Love all your plans!

I don't really get this - I love to eat and try things, but this seems to fall under "too much of a good thing". Maybe you'd be better off going during food & wine?

:rotfl2:thats ok,sometimes i dont get it??:lmao:. My neighborhood theres never enough of a good thing:goodvibes. If we could of time it for the F&W we would of. I look at our schedule and see it this way If we sit down at a meal and cant finish, then we dont. I am not going to stress it,matter of fact I look forward to it. To get to be able to try these places its like waiting to see MK:goodvibes.

Call me crazy, but I think it looks pretty good. I would love to read your TR. Only suggestion is what someone said earlier: eat breakfast on the day you're hitting IOA. And I would swap one of your two Epcot lunches on the 23rd for lunch on the 26th (where you have dinner at LeCellier).

We did a couple of days with 3 meals, and it was pretty intense. Usually an early breakfast, lunch and dinner at 6 pm. We have little kids and we kept to their dining times at home (well, sort off, believe it or not, my son gets lunch at school at 10:45 am; we usually ate lunch around noon).

I agree, Brkfst before Golf might be a good idea, even if its a small one at resort, just to break up the 2 lunch day! HOWEVER, we book our entire stay around eating! LOL Disney has amazing food and we thoroughly enjoy eating it! We make the most out of DxDP by booking 3 TS per day, but just splitting a HUGE meal/app/deserts at lunch. With the extra credit we save we do a signature dinner! So I say LIVE IT UP!!! Kinda like an Eat Pray Love situation. By the end of the week we wont fit in our jeans, we went around the world and found ourselves!!
