DVC has never made any comment about total resort occupancy - and there is no reason to do so.
Here is a breakdown of the villas at each of the current resorts. If you apply the stated occupancy of 4 for each Studio and 1BR villa, 8 for 2BR villas and 12 for each GV (and 5 for 1BRs and 9 for 2BRs at AKV) you can find an approximate total number.
