Who wins the title?

Obviously C-Town wants the Mavs to win, course we would support the Al-Qaeda All Stars vs LeQuiter....

I've never liked LeBron, not when he was here and not now, but after that completely classless letter Gilbert posted when LeBron decided to leave I want them to win just to shove it down his throat.

He came across like the girl that really wanted to go to the prom with the starting QB. She wooed him and thought he was perfect but when he decided to take someone else instead all of a sudden she never liked him and he is ugly anyway. He just came off as pathetic.

Had he said all of those things before the fact and not even offered him a contract I'd have respect for him. After the fact you are just a whiny baby. The whole week leading up to "The Decision" I called him classless and a total attention seeking egomaniac but everyone defended him until he decided to take his talents to Miami. If you were fine with the whole charade before he made the announcement you should have still been fine with it after.

Have to go for the HEAT if I want to live in my house. My daughter is an avid fan. If I root for anyone else I will be killed for sure. :)

Don't get the Al Qaeda reference?

But it isn't worth speculating since the Spurs were robbed of their victory! ;)

We're HEAT all the way here and we are Cavs fans. We are Cavs fans for the players, certainly NOT for Gilbert. Gilbert lost LeBron with his stupid business moves. Had he offered LeBron the contract he requested, LeBron would still be in Cleveland and so would Z and maybe Bosch. Anyway, the combination of LeBron, DWade and Chris Bosch is "Hollywood" as J. Noah said last night but would one expect less from a team put together by Micky Arison(owner of HEAT and Carnival Cruise Lines) or Pat Riley, genuis basketball legend? One year and these guys have muscled their way into the finals. They may not win the whole kahuna but to me, this is a winning combination and as long as the players stay healthy we're going to hear about them for a long, long time 'cause they've got youth on their side. Can't wait for Tuesday night!!! Poor DS has two finals on Wednesday. He's studying now and all weekend so he can watch the game. Nothing like a little NBA to motivate a kid to study early. :)

Oh, and not everyone in Ohio or even Cleveland is anti-LeBron. Some people were disappointed but clear on what and how it went down - like firedancer and me. And just to be hopeful...we all know that Al-Queda and LeBron are not comparable. At least I HOPE we all know that. Man, people really get worked up about a game, eh?

Gilbert was wrong & should have taken a couple days to calm down before making a statement. LeBron was leaving no matter what contract he was offered, he was offered maximum contract by the way so not sure how much more the Cavs could have done. Oh wait let Lebrons cronies fly with the team & stay extra nights when playing in certain cities...

Most people I talk to don't care that he left, it is the way he did it.

Let's just hope LBJ's elbow flares up again.

I keep hearing that but if that is the case why didn't the outrage start the moment he announced that he was doing that show to make his decision public?

Even after everyone knew he was going to do that show on national television and disappoint every team except one there were still people here holding LeBron James parties and had a demonstration downtown asking him to stay. Only when he said Miami did everyone all of a sudden have a problem with it. Had Gilbert the moment he announced the show rescinded the offer and told him he wasn't welcome even if he played for the league minimum he would have at least shown he had class.

I think it is at worst hypocritical and at best disingenuous when you all of a sudden have a problem with the process only after is produces an outcome you don't like.

First of all, thank you for being level minded with this topic. I was NEVER a Lebron fan UNTIL he left Cleveland. I think he made a HUGE mistake with "The Decision", but did not deserve the hate that he's received. Dan Gilbert and the "fans" turned him into a sympathetic figure to me and now I want him to win. Please don't take this the wrong way, but the craziness that went on once he left made Cleveland look like the crazy ex boyfriend/girlfriend. I understand the dissapointment, but some of the things I saw and read blew my mind. It made it seem as though Cleveland had nothing to offer once Lebron left and that he was their "everything". For the record, I like Cleveland, my grandfather lives in Shaker Heights.

Despite being a Chicago Bulls fan and saying we had NOT been in the playoffs, I would root for ANY team that was playing against LeBaby James. He deserves an Academy Award, not an NBA Championship. GO DALLAS!

I agree with you 100%. I've used the rejected prom date analogy since day one but crasy ex works just the same.

I get that some fans didn't want him to leave but it is what happens in sports. I also wonder how many of those same people have ever changed jobs for whatever reason. In reality that is all this was, an employee deciding to go work at a different job just like just about everyone burning his jersey has probably done. My favorite team is Manchester United and I was disappointed when Christiano Ronaldo left for Real Madrid but I don't have any ill will towards him. I still loved watching him score a record number of goals in La Liga this year.

It was kind of sad that at the same time the LeBron saga was going on something much more important to our city's economic future was in the works, Continental Airlines being bought by or merged with either Delta or United, yet the vast majority of people were too stupid to worry about the right thing. Combined with the over the top reaction to a man choosing to put a ball through a hoop in a different colored jersey it was not our city's finest hour.

Go Heat Go

Of course being Canadian I have to be a Raptors fan :)

My son is a huge Chris Bosh fan, his new kitten, basketball orange is named Bosh.

I am an Orlando fan myself but Heat is a close second.

Go Heat Go
