Me - Your faithful Disney fan. I'm here purely because someone is willing to pay for my trip in its entirety, namely my parents.
Emily - My younger sister, who is a freshman at George Washington University. She went to WDW with her friends over the summer of '02 and had a horrible time.
Naomi - My 11 year old sister who I'm molding in my image.
Mom - Hates Disney World and all things about it. Pure self sacrifice and time off from work brought her here.
Dad - Immigrant guy who says funny things because he sometimes mixes his grammar up.
Synopsis: Some relevant background info is in order.... <insert smoke effect a la Ellen's ride here> Our entire family has not been to WDW since February 2001. We have a timeshare in Kissimme, and I was the last one to stay there way back in July 2000(we stayed somewhere else offsite in '01). Emily was the last one to go and she stayed on site at Coronado as a present for high school graduation this past summer.
Returning to the present...
For me, this is a pure mooching trip. I last went to WDW in March 2002 for spring break with my friend and he wasn't a huge fan of WDW so I'm hoping for a better trip.
Trip Details
Day 1: Parents & Naomi pick me up from my college in NYC in the evening and sleep in Atlantic City(nothing says WDW trip like some gambling).
Day 2: Pick up my sister from college in Washington D.C., and drive as far as we can before evening or before we all try to kill each other.
Day 3: Arrive in Florida
Day 4-9: WDW!
Day 10-11: Drive home
Goals of the trip
Convert Naomi into my image - She is an up and coming Disney Nazi and I will make very certain her destiny of a WDW fan is complete. This is the first trip that she will(attempt anyway) do all the rides including the "scary ones"(i.e. RnR, ToT, etc).
Meet Leslie - Leslie is trying to get out of it, but I will meet her one way or the other. For those who are not familiar with Leslie, she's one of the moderators at MGMStudios.Org and has been promising me since forever to meet me if I came down and now she's trying to sneak out of it.
Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Mooch, mooch, mooch! - I'm on my parent's dime this trip and I plan on taking full advantage of it anyway I can. Daddy's credit card is coming out!
Get a tan - Nothing impresses the ladies back home like a nice tan. 8)
Score a date with a girl from home while on vacation - Okay, this is kind of....weird.
A few weeks ago, I decided to go after a certain girl. In the interest of anonymity(which is odd since I've named everyone else here), we'll call her "Jane". Part of my "master plan" was to send her flowers & chocolate on Valentine's Day and ask her out. Until now, we've just been hanging out as friends. Problem is, on Friday(which is V-Day), I'll be in the car with my family driving to florida when she'll most likely call. If you don't allready know, nothing is worse than asking someone out in front of your family...it's like the Nuremburg Trials, but without the Nazis It should prove interesting.
