I want to get my oldest DD a mattress topper for her birthday next weekend - she will be 22 and is away at college and complains constantly about her uncomfortable bed. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! :thumbsup2

I got ours at Costco (I can't remember the brand, but it is the only one they sell) and they have rocked my world . They are 3 inch memory foam. Costco usually has coupons for them in their monthly mailers.

Hope this helps,

Memory foam toppers are great and last! We bought ours from overstock.com

Yes, we had a memory foam topper that allowed us to put off buying a new mattress for a couple of years. They're very nice.

Ok looking at memory foam, thanks! WalMart has a full sized 4" one I may get it there so she can take it back if it doesn't do what she wants.

Thanks, we don't have Costco, I hear lots of good things about them. There may be one in Orlando where she is though :)

You have to purchase a membership to shop at Costco so it probably wouldn't be worth it for just that one purchase. Although possibly you can shop online with an upcharge? Not sure.

I bought my memory foam topper at Kohls. It was on sale and I had a coupon. Very glad I bought it....made a huge difference!

Another vote for overstock.com!!! It was only $3 to ship and it came in 2 days!!

I'd also vote for a memory foam topper, but be sure it isn't TOO thick, as the sheets can sometimes be difficult to get on!

Just ordered from overstock.com and received in 2 days this past week for my son's bed. I have slept on it for 2 nights and it is awesome...$50 give or take a little delivered. Just read the reviews and you should see the right one. Best money you can spend.

We bought the 4" inch from Walmart for my daughter. It is on a twin bed and she loves it. We purchased it about 4 weeks ago so I can't comment on long-term wear but it seems to be of great quality. We also shopped at Costco but the ones they sell (althought very nice), don't come in a twin size. The one at Walmart was something like $88 if I recall correctly and it has proved to be a great buy for us. Good luck!

I'm going to check them out today and see if they have a full sized. We are going to take a quick trip down to Orlando for the weekend so now I can just bring it with me and not have to have it shipped to her :)

I'm wondering...would this work on the floor as a 2nd bed for weekend trips? Last time I went down I slept on the futon which isn't so comfortable LOL I probably should buy an air mattress....

Ours is great for "let's all lay on the floor and watch a movie together." I don't think it would be comfortable enough for an entire night. But I don't like a firm mattress. If you do, it might be just perfect.

Do these smell like chemicals? I bought the memory foam pillow last year and returned it twice because the smell was horrible. Ended up not keeping it. I would love to get the mattress topper.....IF it doesn't smell.
