Mattress pad. Am I crazy?

I was thinking of bringing a mattress pad to put on the pull out couch at boulder ridge and animal kingdom lodge. Two adults will be sleeping on it and I am worried about comfort. Am I crazy ? Has anyone else done this?

We have kids and I did not want them to have bad sleep, we used an thin air mattress it was $17 at walmart so I could throw it away when I was done..

For those older, and not updated rooms, you aren't crazy. But for updated rooms with the murphy pull down its not necessary. I sleep on whatever's in the living room in DVC 1 bedrooms all the time so Im sort of an expert on the topic

I would never bring something like this from home, but I also wouldn't bring 99% of the stuff other people here do as well. To each their own though.

Not sure if this is still available, but I have seen comments by folks who requested and received some kind of extra padding from the resort.

I did walmart pick up. We brought the small air pump from home, the time before we used the hair dryer in the room but I would not do that again it took forever on the low setting.

It's worth a try. Those pull-out sofas are not comfortable. The Murphy beds are far more comfortable.

I fly southwest, so two free checked suitcases per person. I've taking a mattress pad when anyone has to use the sofa bed. I think that's the only reason an adult was able to sleep on it restfully, some of those are awful!

I always bring a mattress topper with me since I have a bad back. I use a space saver bag and throw it in a duffle bag. Since we always fly Southwest an extra bag is no big deal.

Totally did this. Ordered a topper from Amazon and had it delivered to the resort. Excellent use of $30 at Disney World. Those pull out couch mattresses suuuuuuuuuuck.

Absolutely, I have brought mattress pads on cruises before. A crappy mattress does NOT make for a happy vacation. I would bring it, or buy it nearby if I could not bring it. Best wishes….

Yes- I am bringing a mattress pad for the pull out couch bed for BR wilderness lodge. I have a separate suitcase to bring it.
I get free checked luggage- so definitely worth it!

I would agree with bringing a mattress topper for Animal Kingdom Lodge, for sure.
