Is the mattress for the sofa bed in the living area one that can be taken off and placed on the floor to be used that way? Specifically, we'll be at the VWL.

Bobbi :confused3

I don't know about VWL, but the new ones at OKW are kind of an all one piece foam mattress, so I doubt that would be possible there. They are very comfy though, with no bar to lay across.

Thanks, Diane! I am just not going to try to not worry about sleeping arrangements. We are 4 adults anda 1,2, and 3 year old, and we should all find a place to sleep in a 2 bedroom!!!

You may have two pack and play units for the 1 and 2 year olds and a king bed, 1queen and 2 sofa beds if you have a lock off unit so hopefully everyone will be comfy. Hope you have a great trip.

Yes, you can easily take the mattress off the old style sleeper sofas ... I believe that is the type they currently have in the VWL.

We always set up the bed for the kids this way when using the sleeper sofas. We first started doing this back when the kids were very little .. but had outgrown the pac and play ... and I was worried about them falling out of the bed. It's become a tradition now, and it's very comfy to sleep on, too. More support and no bar ! We just put everything back together each morning ... not much trouble at all !

This has been a habit of mine for a while whenever we use any sleeper sofa.
I haven't tried any of the new Sleeper sofas yet but it sounds like they are comfy.

If you are worried about young children falling out of bed...you could also use the chairs turned backards(or even a pack and play) at the foot of the bed and have the babies sleep across the width of the bed(the sofa back will prevent them rolling out the other way-but you might have to stuff pillows in the gap).
