Not sure if anyone would remember this or not but Mattie was put on Alimentum formula at about 3 weeks-he is milk, soy intolerant. Out doctor told us that most insurance companies will cover this if perscribed(it's anywhere from 22-27 dollars a can depending on where you buy it-he goes through almost 3 cans a week!!) Well our insurance denied us coverage. Since then we have had a friend help us get some formula from the doctors office she works at-she has helped us A LOT but we were still buying it on our own as well. My Dh changed jobs a few months back therefore we switched insurance companies. I never called Blue Cross because I figured they wouldn't cover it....WRONG!! I called last week and they said to have the dotor fill out the request form and the next day it was covered!!! I am SOOOO happy-this is about $75-80 a week I will be saving and to think it only took 9 months!!! LOL

I am glad your insurance picked up the bill. One less worry with a baby around the house. Good Luck!

So glad to hear this Kim! :bounce: It's nice when insurance companies can do something to help!
