I saw that the Matterhorn is scheduled to reopen Jun 14. Is there any chance that it won't be open by 4th of July? This is our first trip to DL, and my DDs most looked forward to ride to go on is Matterhorn. Thanks!

It will definately be open before July 4th. It will be open by June 14th. They need it at DLP on the 14th since DCA will be closed for the day.

I'm hoping for a soft opening before that. I'd like to be able to ride it the week before during my trip on the 5th-9th.

It is scheduled to open on June 15th.

How long was it closed and are was anything changed? I was in the park last August and it was closed. Not sure if it was just for repair or for this.

Thanks!

Has Disney say why they raised the height requirement? Is the ride more roller-coastery (I just coined a word) now? Does it have seat belts or lap bars?

When it reopens will the lines be outrageous? We will be there the first week of July and my DDs have never been to DL, so this is a priority for us. Should I plan on a lot longer than ususal?

Normally after a ride has been down for awhile, it is very popular when it comes back on-line. I expect the first few weeks after it re-opens it will be very busy. I expect that lots of locals will be interested in riding it as well. But the locals will be blocked out by the time you arrive and it will be mostly tourists for the summer. So I expect it will be just the normal busy by the time you get there. Which means as long as you have a plan to be there early, etc. you should be good. Since it doesn't have FP, I normally ride it early in the day or late at night. That line is brutal in the middle of the afternoon in July! :scared1:

OK. I have it as one of our first 3 rides on our MM the first day. Hopefully that will work. Thanks!
