Matterhorn now has a Seat Cushion

That's great to hear. My DH and I were just talking about MM last night and he said that he will only be able to ride this ride once because he wants to see the new changes, if it wasn't for the changes that were made (for the 60th Anniversary), he probably would stay off the ride all together...he said that ride really messed up his back last time we were there. Hopefully this will help him and he will be able to enjoy it more and ride it more then once :goodvibes.

Great news! I had such a miserable experience in it in Dec, I was avoiding it for my May trip! Looks like I can do it again.

Just some more info and tips.
Remember this is a seat cushion. The back support is the same.
I would always recommend that you sit up when riding and do not lay back.
The added seat cushion helps immensely for keeping you in place.
The fit is still snug. I am 5'10 and it is fine for me. Avoid the front seat of each car if you are tall.
The Fantasyland side was smooth for me. The Tomorrowland side was a bit bumpy, but still loads better than before.

OMG! OMG! ....I hope this lasts and doesn't disappear after a couple months because it falls apart too easily or something.

SMOOTH? Wow! Even kind of smooth would be a huge improvement! I'm way too excited about this ;)

Hmmm. I might have to give the 'Horn another try. It's still needs some cool drops, but elimination of some pain is a good start.

This ride is usually somewhat painful, hopefully it will help. Though I did like the old ride cars where more than one person was in each 'pod'.

Ok, never been on this ride. My one and only other visit it was in refurb mode. A couple of questions...

Is there FP for this attraction? Is there a SR line?

Water???????? What water?

No FP. There's a single rider line but it's not always running. The wait always looks worse than it is.

There's water on this ride but it's not really a water ride. Mostly it's aesthetic (there's a small waterfall), but there is a splash at the end. One time we got soaked and everyone in our car was shocked - something must have been off with the water levels that day.

We had the same experience! My sister in law and I got absolutely drenched, and we were both speechless for a solid 30 seconds (not our normal state of being) because it was so stinkin' unexpected. It was a warm day and we dried quickly, but boy, we were not expecting that!

Good to know. Gracias
I don't have a big problem with the Matterhorn, butt ;) a cushioned ride sounds good to me. :) lol
