The last time we were in DL, the Matterhorn was being refurbished. I know DH would love to try this ride once in his life but I'm concerned about his height (I already warned him that it will not be good for his back because of the way the seats are). Should he be worried about hitting his head on the walls during the crazy turns???? :confused3

(eta) How about his knees and sitting in the seats? Is there room?

He'd probably have to be 15' tall before he has to worry about that.

The Fantasyland side is considerably less jerky than the Tomorrowland side. It does make a difference.

I am 6'2" and I worry about this every time. I am sure it is how it is built and is a visual thing on my part. I find myself trying to scrunch down and duck my head. However, my brothers, who are 6'7" and 6'6" ride with no problems.

Thanks for the tip about the Fantasyland side vs. the Tomorrowland side.

I worry more about leg room than head room. Those cars just aren't built for long legs.

Avoid the front row of each vehicle section. He will have a hard time sitting indian style.

The other rows have slots for your legs and feet.

I'm 5'3" and felt like there was no room for my legs. And my legs are not where I hold my "height".
