I read some where here that the Matterhorn will be closed (usually) in September. I am gonna be there 24-30 september and I'd really like to ride it as it was closed for refurb Nov. last year and we missed out on it then!

Is is likley to close again so soon after the last refurb and if so does anyone know the usual dates? Also for the dates anything else usually closes around that time?

Thanks in advance!:)

i doubt the Matterhorn will close this year considered that it was down for 3 months last year.

You have made me very happy:goodvibes , Thanks Albort, can't wait to ride this one!!

In my experience at Disneyland, The matterhorn goes down ALOT. I live in so cal for 4 years, visitng the parks atleast twice a month and there were several times that the matterhorn was down from 3 or 4 months. My wife and I always knew it was a 50/50 shot that it would be closed anytime we went. There were times they closed it while we were at the park and we used to kid around that we broke it.

If its open when you get there, get on it while you can, we would always do it early in the day to make sure we got on it since its one of our favorite DL attractions.

Good Luck ;)

I only see a refurb schedule through June so not sure about when Matterhorn will have its next refurb. FWIW, every ride at DL and DCA goes through refurb every year. Most times its the short, week long refurb, sometimes its the complete 2-3 month rehab. That is what is happening at Splash Mountain right now, and it is LONG overdue. If you don't get to ride Matterhorn because it is down, just be thankful that they do that in order to keep your favorite rides running on for the future.

Where can I find the schedule of what will be closed down and when?? Thanks.:)

they are doing A LOT Splash Mountain right now. I found that what they were a few nights ago. A LOT!

i was told matterhorn was running all throughout the 50th anniversary. but i wasnt there working so i wouldnt know.

The Matterhorn usually goes down for at least a few weeks every September. That it didn't go down during the 50th was the unusual thing.

Yes, but I really wanna ride it and it was closed last Nov for a long time, and I might never get to come to DL again and I like to whine a lot!!
