Mattel Lead Settlement Check

Did anyone else get a check recently from Mattel regarding the class action settlement? I applied for it (seems like years ago) because my daughter had affected toys. I received a check for $85.00 from Mattel that is to be used for a mattel purchase. It appears that I can take this to Walmart or Toys R Us and just spend it? I see where it cannot be partially used, it is use it or lose it but does anyone else have any info or experience using it?

I got one too - $67. It did seems like years ago that I filled out all the paperwork. I think you are correct, you bring it to any store that sells the brands listed and they should take it. I am saving mine for nieces presents for Christmas. So I don't have experience on actually using it. Hopefully it works!

I got one too. I do not even remember filling out the form for it though. Mine was 25.XX, It seems mine is just a check. It does not say anything about spending it on toys.

I got a check for $10 (to cash/not for merchandise) - I don't think I applied for this at all.
I was wondering if maybe I registered a product I bought?? My kids are 10 and 13 now and I haven't bought a Mattel Toy in quite a while now?

Yep, got one too! $59 it will go towards something Barbie. Do you think I can buy a Barbie computer game and movie as part? Mine also is in the form as a merchandise credit.

In the past, when I returned recalled toys I got a check to spend at the store for Mattel products. This happened twice but it was 2-3 years ago. All together it was something like $125!

Last week, I got a lead settlement check from a class action lawsuit. I got almost $75 but it was a real check that I took to the bank. It will make it into my DD's college fund next month.

I got a Check too.. cashed it at the bank! I was so shocked... cause one it seems like SO long ago... and two... all the toys I sent back I already recieved vouchers for and bought new toys with those when this all went down! But hey... I'll take a check too!

I got a check for 51.00 and a voucher for 54.00 towards a toy.
