I broke down and booked a trip to the World after months of trying to come up with the cash to afford the trip. As a college student, that's pretty darn difficult considering most of your money goes towards books, drinking, food, bills, drinking, clothes, etc. Take it from me, I've run the gauntlet of options to get money to finance this trip. I even got my ear pierced just so I could get a bribe from my parents to take it out(that didn't quite work out the way I envisioned it).
So after finally paying off my credit card bills(its amazing how quickly you can pay stuff off when the integrity of your knees are threatened). Last year I had recieved vouchers from Delta Airlines because they bumped me off a flight and lost my luggage on last year's spring break and those vouchers are only good for one year. No use in letting those go to waste, right?
I booked a trip for February 5 - 8. Why those dates? Because airfare for those dates are ridiculously cheap. And by cashing in one of my $50 vouchers, getting there will be nice and affordable. As for hotel, I was going to shell out some cash for the $49 spring sale at Pop Century(Fl discount as my friend lives there) but when I called up to book, they were sold out. This nearly crippled my trip plans. But I just decided to save alot more $$ and stay off site. Enter Hotwire. I saved a good $50-$70 by booking on Hotwire and got myself a room at La Quinta Inn lakeside(Formerly Sheraton Four Points Inn) for $25 night
I was quite proud of that.
And although I have 18 days, 4 hours and 22 minutes(But who's counting?) until my trip, I've thrown myself into overdrive trying to read as much as I can to plan for this trip. I only have 2.5 days in the parks and it's my first solo trip so I'm going to have to plan on what I really want to see and do.
Here are my goals for this trip:
1. See Spectromagic parade
2. Ride Mission: Space
3. See Phillharmagic
4. Drink "Around the World" at EPCOT
5. Meet up with one the members of my site.
Speaking of which, if anyone is going to be at the World then and would like to meet up, let me know
