Matsunoma Lounge Questions

We are thinking of hitting the Matsunoma Lounge one evening in July for Sushi. We are wondering ...

- How hard is it to get a table after 8PM?
- Can you see Illuminations from there?
- If so, do they pipe in the music?

I'm pretty sure that the lounge as well as both Japanese restaurants are closed now while they undergo major rennovations and won't be reopening until around the 20th of August. When they do reopen, I think they we all be one big restaurant instead of 3 separate areas.

We discovered the lounge a few trips ago and had returned there every trip since then for sushi and drinks. Both the lounge and tempura restaurant did not take ADRs so it was first come, first serve. However for our next trip in Nov. I went ahead and made an ADR for Teppanyaki since it sounds like the lounge will now be part of the restaurant and will therefore probably require an ADR, even if we just want sushi and drinks again.

Yep, here on the DIS under "Disney Rehabs and closings" it shows:

Japan's Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki and Matsu No Ma Lounge & Tempura Kiku to close for refurbishment from now thru 08/25/07
