It might be a tad bit harsh, but I'd agree the 2nd and 3rd were major drop off's from the original. Granted sequels don't always live up to the first one, with the rare exceptions (Empire Strikes Back, Godfather II, Terminator 2, The Dark Knight), but those 2 were not good movies which was a shame b/c they had so much to build off of in the first one that if they did it right they maybe could have gotten two trilogies out of it and some spin-offs.

I actually like the sequels. Granted, the Messianic symbolism was a tad heavy.

But I don't understand how this 4th one would work with Neo and Trinity.

Yeah, well, 73% of those reviewers got it wrong. It happens sometimes--Star Wars Episode 2 got a 66% RT score.

If "Matrix 2 and 3 were crap" is wrong, I don't want to be right.

What's your opinion on Sharknado? Because Rotten Tomatoes gave that 78%! Based on that I think we need to eliminate Rotten Tomatoes ratings from all future movie debates.
