Matching shoes?

So I know this is crazy. My mother is convinced that we need matching shoes for our upcoming DW trip. We spent about an hour at a shoe store today running back and forth between adult and toddler shoes trying to find matching ones. DD ended up getting a pair of white and pink Nikes because they fit really well. None of the rest of us got shoes. Any ideas where we can find comfortable matching shoes (adult and toddler)? I am thinking that we should all just get white shoes and we can make some matching shoelaces.

Personally, I think that is way overboard, but hey, if it works for you, go for it! Somehow I doubt I'd ever find matching shoes for my family...little boys size, ladies size in a wide, ladies size in a normal width and size 12 mens, all to match? Nah, ain't gonna happen.

The best way to get matching shoes if you really want matching shoes is to go with crocs.

I second the Crocs idea, that is if you really want matching shoes. I could get my family to agree on wearing Crocs, but probably not matching colors.

Um, your mother is crazy, no offense (that is my 10 year old's favorite phrase when he is about it say something mouthy). Everyone's foot is different so their shoes will be different too. It is much more important to have your feet comfortable rather than matching at disney (and this is coming from a mom who sews her kids matching outfits!).

What about Mickey Mouse Crocs? My DD and I bought these at the MK one year. Or maybe Teva Mush flip flops? They make adults and kids, although they wouldn't be matching. I can't think of any matching sneakers off the top of my head though.

Yeah, thanks everyone. My mother for some strange reason has decided that this particular topic is the one she is going to focus on. SHE IS DRIVING ME CRAZY. We started out with the Crocs idea because they are one of the only shoes we can find to fit DD. But then we were having problems finding any at all, let alone the sizes we need in a color we can all live with. I personally want to wear sandals like Tevas or similar. Mom wants to wear 'cute sandals' and sis will probably want to wear sneakers. I really doubt it's going to work out and everytime I think I have broken this news to my mother, she is calling me up again the next week with the latest shoe siting. AHHHH......

I'm really trying hard to not hurt her feelings. I'm trying to get my sister on my side and then hopefully we can persuade mom to drop it.

Ask your mom how much fun the trip will be with a bunch of people complaining that their feet hurt. I think it is cute to match too, just do shirts and shorts, not shoes. Feet are too important to our comfort.
