I figured this would be the best place to post this and thanks for any info!

This May will be taking our second daughter on her first WDW trip. She will be 13 months when we go. Yay!

My problem is that DD7 is really big on wanting matching outfits for our trip. She's on a big matching outfit kick. We spent weeks searching for matching Easter dresses that we actually liked.

Anyway, I'm finding it very difficult to find matching clothes at regular stores. Does anyone know of any stores that sell matching in 12-18 months and 7 or 8? We've looked at Gymboree and they have coordinating, but she wants matching.

Thanks again!

You might be better off making custom shirts, if t-shirts will suffice. This is actually really easy to do with iron-on transfers you can get at your local craft store. (They sell Disney iron-ons at JoAnn Fabric here, but I like to make my own in a graphics program.)

I feel your pain. My girls are size 7/8 and 4/5, and there's that divide when you get into "big girl" clothes where you can't find matching stuff.

Oh, you may also like Disney' Family Collection! http://www.disneystore.com/kids-apparel-accessories/family-clothing-collection/c/13646/

You could make your own if you sew...My son is 3 years older than my daughter and I would always make outfits for special holidays or Disney. I woudl make my son a camp shirt or vest with holiday or Disney fabric and make my daughter a cute dress with the same fabric. The pics would always turn out sooo cute.:lovestruc
Everyone in the parks would ask me where I got their outfits. Now they are 15 and 12 and I can't do it anymore. I made matching t-shirts for the four of us for Disney but this last time I just made everyone where coordinating colours. it's so sa when they grow up! Enjoy these young years!:cloud9:

Have you tried the children's place? For my boys (one is a size 5-6 the other 2T) I usually can get matching outfits from them (of course, they don't usually wear them at the same time, but that's another story).

We actually got matching outfits for all six of us several years ago from Disney.com shopping site…the girls had dresses~ toddler and big girl, the guys had kids to men’s sizes and I had the plus size shirt, lol. It was late July and everything was on clearance, which was good for my pocketbook…

I would just tell her it is too hard to do and say we will find one set and make sure you get your pictures in that -like if you are doing a character meal wear them and be done with it. Just because she wants to doesn't mean YOU need to do it.

Thank you so much for the fast responses!!!

I love that DD7 wants to have such a connection to her sister, but geez!

Unfortunately, I don't sew...yet. I've been saying that I want to start, but I just haven't yet.

I will definitely check out Children's Place and Disney Store.

Etsy.com! Go there and do a search for "Disney dress" (or t-shirts or whatever you want) and you should get a ton of sellers who do custom work in all different sizes. I ordered matching shirts for my 5 month old and 5 year old for our upcoming trip. princess:

Crazy 8 (online only, I don't know if they have stores) is a Gymboree brand, and they have matching stuff. Their stuff runs small, IME, dd is a 2t/3t/3 in gymboree and we have to get 3t/4t/4's at C8. Ditto children's place and Disney store. What about Old Navy? I wish I had 2 of the same sex to match outfits!!

My girls are 6 years apart and I got a lot of their matching clothes at the Carter's Outlet.

Start sewing!!! it is so much fun. Everyone on th Disboutique board is so helpful. You'll be whipping out matching clothes in no time.

I thought of another a couple more places to look online. Chez Ami, Wooden Soldier, and Hannah Anderson might be good places to search.

I second etsy for custom Disney clothes.

I've had the best luck with Children's Place (and I'm looking at 12/14 and 2T). For our Disney trip, I tie dyed some white tees and am hoping to iron some Tinkerbells onto a few others. DSD wants to match DD but is drawing the line at no Pooh and preferably no princesses. I think we have enough outfits for them to at least start every day matching (until DD destroys her first outfit of the day :lmao:).

I am writing all of these down! I don't know of many people with a wide gap between kids, so I thought I'd go crazy all by myself. :dance3:

DD7 doesn't ask for much and I was really worried when we found out that we were pregnant that she would have some jealousy issues, but she has been the best big sister. I think that trying to fulfill her wish of matching outfits is just part of the way I can thank her for being her.

Thanks again for all the ideas!

I just checked out etsy and there are TONS AND TONS of disney custom clothes, and most of the ones I saw had sizes 6-9mos up to 10/12!! Good luck :)

No Pooh and no princesses....that's not too much to ask. :lmao:

That's what I'm figuring, too. I'm sure they'll be matching at first, but by lunch, I'm sure that the little one will be a disaster.

Every Spring, the Disney Store has a new Hawaiian outfit that can be matched for the family -- the same style for kids and adults. Might be too big for infant/toddler size. We got several matching Disney Hawaiian outfits by searching on ebay too.

I have to agree with this.
