Matches on a plane?

Can I bring matches on a plane since I can't bring a cigarette lighter? DH and I are smokers.

According to the TSA at TSA.gov (you might want to check the site) you are allowed 4 books of matches each.

Just don't do what I saw on the news yesterday. A flight had to make an emergency landing for security because a woman lighted a match because she was farting and was embarassed of the smell.

You are allowed four books in your carry-on. No matches are allowed in checked baggage.
