matchbox twenty and Sugar Ray on the Today Show

There was a thread recently about the matchbox twenty/Sugar Ray concert, and I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that they are both scheduled to appear on the concert series on the Today Show. Sugar Ray will be on tomorrow (Friday, May 16th). matchbox twenty will be on next Friday, May 23rd.

I just went to the concert last week!!! Thanks for the heads up!!! I have to work tomorrow.....what time is the Today show on?? We will be camping next Thursday night......hope we can get the right channel in for Matchbox Twenty!!!

On the Today Show yesterday, Matt Lauer said that Sugar Ray would be on during the 8:30 half hour. I'll be heading to work at that time. I just ahve to remember to set the VCR tomorrow morning to tape them.

I saw the concert in Boston on Sunday. I'm going to be on a business trip in DC when it's there next week. I'm hoping that work cancels the evening events they have planned for us the night of the concert so I can go see them again.

I'm planning on going into work late next Friday. I can't wait.

June 29th I'll be going to the show in Charlotte. It will be my first Matchbox Twenty show.

Are either of you in their fan club?

I'm sure both of you know who that is in my sig then!

I just picked up the matchbox twenty Storytellers DVD. Excellent DVD. Fun to watch, and listen to.

You'll have a great time at the concert. Sugar Ray puts on an awesome show--Mark McGrath just has so much energy. I'm hoping to catch the show again in DC next week when I'm there on business, but right now they have me scheduled to go out to Virginia for dinner that night. I'm hoping the plans change.

They do put on a good show but I Sugar Rayed my self out last year 3 concerts in 8 months was tooo much...


How is their new stuff? I dont like the new single at all...but hopefully some of the other stuff is good

See, I knew Rob had a secret girlfriend on the DIS. Don't ask me how I figured it out. I just knew.

I love "Unwell." It's my new favorite song. I've been listening to it all day at work today. It's so true. It's such a catchy tune, too. When I saw them on Sunday, Mark McGrath was watching the matchbox twenty from the side of the stage. He must love the song, because as soon as it started, he just got really into it, singing along and dancing. He seemed to be having a blast watching matchbox twenty, but when this song came on, he got so excitable. It was cute.

Yes, Mark is starting to look old. I think the new doo makes him look old, but I like the new doo anyways. He isn't as hot in person as he is on TV and in pictures, though.

Mark sure does have a lot of energy. I was exhausted just watching him bounce around the stage for an hour on Sunday night. He was just running back and forth across the stage (I think he needs a stripper pole on stage--he doesn't have to strip, he just needs to dance around it).

I can't wait to go home and watch the tape of the Today Show performance (don't you hate it when work gets in the way of entertainment?). I can't wait to see what songs they did.

They only did one or two songs from the new disc. They did a song called "Chasing You Around" that was pretty good.

I just realized that NBC has video of the songs Sugar Ray performed on the Today Show website, and I went to watch it, and I couldn't see the picture. Oh well, at least I know what they performed (Mr. Bartender, When It's Over, and Someday), and saw some stills from the performance.
