Match Your Mate?

This is a little off topic, but I'm wondering if anyone could describe the Match Your Mate game that's played on the Magic. I'm guessing from the name that it's a little like The Newlywed Game?? I'm hosting a party and am wondering if anyone remembers any details or specific questions they use so that I might adapt it for my event.

Which Dwarf best describes your husband?

Where is the most romantic place(or wildest, we cant remember exactly) you discovered the "magic"?

Something like, If you were stranded on an island with her whole family and were being rescued but one person had to stay, who would you want to stay?

Ill try to keep thinking of more.

I actually have the whole show on video tape from our 2/23/02 cruise.

I'll watch it later and jot down all the questions!!!! They were four questions per "mate".

First the ladies left the stage (went to a secure area) and the men were asked 4 questions. Then the ladies had to answer them.

Second round the men left the stage and the ladies answered 4 questions.

It was so much, alot depends of the attitudes of the participants and on our cruise it was hilarious.


One question I can remember off the bat was "Where was the most interesting place that you and your spouse ever DISCOVERED THE MAGIC", wink, wink.

Some of the answers were quite humorous.

This was a great show!

A few questions I can remember:
1)Which type of bird will your husband say you are?
a red breasted robin, a dove, or a swallow
2)What condiments does your mate like on his weiner?
3)What is the most interesting place you have "discovered the magic"?
4)What is your husbands favorite part of your body?
5)Can you name your husband's last girlfriend before you?

boy, reading back over this it sounds like it was a raunchy show but really it wasn't. It was very funny and a cool show. I don't remember all the questions but if I remember some more I will post them. It was a total of 8 questions I believe...4 to each spouse. They picked 3 couples...newlywed, middle marriage, long time couple. It was really a hoot!

Ok, I just had so much fun rewatching our Match Your Mate video....I laughed just as much as the first time!!!! My friends son and DIL were the newlywed couple so she filmed the whole show. The won the show as well and received champagne and two souvenier glasses plus some medallions.

Here were the questions, first for the guys:

1) Where did you go on your first date and how much did you spend?

2) Who was your last girlfriend and what does you wife think of her?

3) Your wife calls you at work and tells you that you need to stop on the way home from work and pick her up some bras.....what size would you buy? (one guy said uummmm 2D... go figure, he had no clue what the size meant!!!)

4) If you were stranded on a desert island with one member of your wife's family, who would you least like it to be and why?


Now the questions for the ladies:

1) You just caught your husband stepping out of the shower, what character does he most remind you of at that moment......The Beast from B&B, Hercules, Goofy, Prince Charming, or Pinocchio (sp)

2) What is your husband's most annoying habit?

3) What is the first thing your husband touches in the morning?

4) Where was the most interesting place you have ever DISCOVERED THE MAGIC? (John, the host, actually said "please don't tell me the VISTA SPA or lifeboat #12! Everyone started laughing!!!)


The answers were just too funny. We had a very lively group on stage and they held nothing back!!!!!
