Has anyone had any experience with Match.com? Good experiences? Bad experiences? Thanks.

Well I have my profile all set and ready to go, but I can't get myself to submit my payment information:happytv:

I can telll you that you should maybe make a seperate email address just for this site. Even though I haven't offically signed on with them yet I get LOTS of emails (like so and so viewed your profile, someone is interested, see who is new, etc).

If you decide to take the plunge let me know your thoughts.

I've done OkCupid and Plenty of Fish. Both are free and I met 3 great guys on OK Cupid; unfortunately you really do get what you pay for (lol) and none of them were totally honest in their profiles.

I'm on! I have met some interesting men. I have a date Saturday night!;)

I went to a wedding last month and the couple met on match.com :)

I met my husband on match.com. We emailed for three weeks before meeting in a public place (probably chatted on the phone a couple of times). Dated for 2 years before DH proposed and then we got married 6 months after the proposal.

Tangent: I was amazed that it was possible to plan an amazing wedding in less then 6 months. We rushed the engagement along because we are both in our thirties and didn't want to waste anymore time. We now have been happily married for 1 year 2 months.

I only met one other guy in person (horrible date) on match.com before meeting my future husband. I talked to others but dh and I clicked right off the bat so after our first date I quit match.com. He said he chatted with some other ladies but I was the only lady he met in person. As soon as he met me he closed his match.com account too.

DH and I rediscovered our love for Disney together and have went on many Disney vacations together. I am so glad he shares my love for Disney cause it is nice going on vacation with someone who loves it as much as I do. My BIL doesn't love Disney so whenever my sis and her family go to Disney, he tends to put a damper on the vacation. Luckily I don't have that problem. I can honestly say I met my perfect match through match.com and definitely recommend the site.

My son met someone on Plenty of Fish, and she is really nice. I like her, and more importantly, so does he.

I met my wife on match.com 8 years ago and have been married for 6. What made it more odd was she went to my high school, same grade and everything, but never really knew each other.

DH and I met on Match.com, we have been together for 8 years!

I had a 'rule' to dating men I met online. We 'talked' for awhile, met only in public places (and I called a friend to let her know where I would be and called her on my way home...in case I met a psycho killer, she would at least know who!) and if he told me he loved me on the 2nd date, he was GONE!!!!

I talked with some guys, who turned out to be losers, I met another man who had 3 kids from 3 different women (I was not about to be baby mama #4!), and I met some nice guys!

Good Luck!

My cousin used Match.com and found her husband! They both seem very happy!

I think it's definitely a sorting process, but if you're willing to put the time in and go on dates, I think it could be worth it!

Good luck! :)

I met DH on Match almost 4 years ago. I got winked at/contacted by a lot of guys, returned contact (email) with a few, and spoke to 2 on the phone. Of those 2, I went on a date with 1. Not long after that date, I "hid" my profile and then cancelled my membership after 1 month. DH was the best $30 I ever spent!
I joined because a friend who met her dh on Match encouraged me to. Dh and I stood up in a friend's wedding last month who also met on Match. Several of my coworkers have used Match- one couple got married, one couple is living together, and one guy is still dating around.
Obviously, I say go for it!:)

I came across a LOT of weirdos and guys that just were not a good "match" at all. But a couple of months ago I met a man on there who's pretty darn great. We've only been dating since early August but things are going well and I have a good feeling that they will continue to go well :goodvibes

Give it a shot! Never hurts to try :)
