Master's Inn Maingate?

Our daughter is in the Drum and Bugle Corp at the Air Force Academy and they are playing in a Disney parade on Feb. 6. We're trying to find the most inexpensive way to see this. I have found air and hotel for $523 for 2 from Kansas and staying at the Master Inn Maingate in Orlando. What is this hotel like? Is this a good deal?

How long is the stay? When is the flight outbound and returning? That would make a difference in determining if it is a good deal. Just taking a guess, your flight for two using Air Tran would probably be about $400 to $425 from Kansas City to MCO.

The hotel using Hotel Kingdom would cost about $40 per night approximately. Travel to and from the airport to the hotel would need to be added. is that included in your package?


Master Inn Maingate is close to everything and located on route 192 about 4 miles from the World Drive Entrance (Maingate). Are you planning on renting a car? The shuttle from the hotel might be an issue. The Lynx bus does travel along route 192 though.

A better bet if you don't plan on renting a car would be to go to one of the Lake Buena Vista hotels near Downtown Disney that has shuttle back and forth to WDW. Or, you might want to check if Pop Century still has any of the $49 per night rates available. Then you would be able to use Disney bus transportation to the Theme Parks.
