Went to DLP today and there was a massive wind storm. Lots of areas of the park were roped off due to danger of falling objects. I didnt really see any damage about the park beyond some limbs down and lots of tipped over trash cans. The following rides were closed in the main park:

IASW
BTM
SM 2
Dumbo
Orbitron
Indiana Jones
Teacups
Disneyland Railroad
Riverboats
Autotopia
Alices Labyrinth
Casey Jr
Storybook Land

Needless to say the few open rides were packed as the park was already fairly busy. By 3 pm the wind had died down but was still gusting and the rides had not reopened. I suspected a possible cancelation of the parades etc. As we only had a one day pass and I had friends from the US with me who had never been to the park, I decided to complain. I went to the City Hall and spoke with a guest services agent about our disappointment in the number of rides that were closed. She informed me that Studio Disney had closed early in addition to all the ride closures in the main park. She apologized and gave me 4 new tickets for one day / both parks to be used within 1 year! WTG Disney!

As my luck would have it, the wind never came back and both parades were held and all rides reopened around 4:30 so we managed to ride everything we wanted to!

Wow global warming really is having an affect. Shame that your USA guests did not see DLP at its' best :)

How ironic. Exactly one week ago we had a massive wind storm here in the central USA. Wonder if this was the same storm system :confused3
