How strange :confused3 if DLP wanted to keep the breakfast exclusive for hotel guests then why start offering it to non-residents in the first place? :confused3 :confused3 and if they have found there's too many non-residents turning up and causing seating problems (which I find hard to believe as it's probably only die-hard DLP fans who know about this and even with all the European forums we can all only be a small minority of the total guests who go to DLP) why increase it by so much? Can't believe many are going to pay that much for breakfast there, however nice it is, unless it becomes a full blown character meal like dinner and Sunday brunch.

This is what I thought? I just find it a bit odd.

I'm sure Carrie_Cat explained that in France, hotels cannot exclude non-hotel guests from using the restaurant for breakfast, if they are willing to pay. If this is the case, DLP may be thinking that upping the price to such a high one will keep the exclusivity of the DLH - perhaps they've had feedback to this effect from DLH guests?

Ah! Now it makes sense!:thumbsup2

It's supposed to open at the end of April/beginning of May.
All buffets (breakfast, brunch, lunch and diner) have been moved to California Grill, which is right next to it.
Same food, same characters (if you booked a character meal)...just different restaurant.

CLOSED?! Noooooooooo:guilty::sad2:

I wanted to go to Inventions for my birthday next month after my parents said how lovely it was for their anniversary. Things really aren't going my way at all :sad1:

California Grill (where they have moved the Inventions character buffet to) is nicer, in my opinion :).

I miss Carrie_Cat posts... is she coming back from her travelling around the world soon? ... hope she will be back here and to share where she been etc... :lovestruc

[Bad news] Breakfast at Hotel Disneyland passes to €35 (instead of 14.99 euros for adults) and €15 (instead of 5.69 euros) for children from tomorrow. (Photo: DG) (Translated by Bing)

:scared1::scared1::scared1:

I don't buy the exclusivity argument at all. They need all the money they can get.

The place is going under...

Does anyone even get asked by the cast members if your staying there or not?

We had 2 nights in the Disneyland Hotel last month, and 2 nights at the Magic Circus, after 2 mornings of breakfast at the DL hotel the Magic Circus breakfast wasn't quite doing it for us so we had breakfast at the DL hotel again both mornings.

Was never asked if we were staying there or not. Asked for a room number etc.

This is a real shame, and I am now very much regretting not going here last time! Oh well, all the more reason to save up to stay there, I suppose!

When I stayed we had to show the Easypass, which I think they will enforce now this is being offered or they may give a ticket when you check in which you have to hand over.

Does anyone know if the other hotels have followed suit with breakfast costs increase (for non staying visitors) and what they are?

C x

I have never had breakfast at the DLH, so I don't know how elaborate it is or isn't.
But I have paid higher prices than that in 5*-hotels around Europe. So while the increase is quite enormous, the price isn't that unusual.
