Massachusetts voters.............

I voted no on question 1

Yes on 2

Yes on 3. If there were better regulations then i woud say no, but i think its horrible how these dogs are treated. Just because they are animals doesn't mean they don't matter. In my heart they do.

Like i told my children this morning when i took them to vote with me, people have the right to vote however they want. Its our freedom to do so.

This relates to something I suspected, that Proposition #1 is supported substantially by NH people, folks many of whom actually moved to as state without many jobs figuring that they can take advantage of the better business environment we MA folks foster with our taxes, without actually paying into the system which provides them the opportunities they take advantage of!

If anything, I would like to see higher taxes on out-of-state workers, so as to reduce MA resident unemployment.

Hey, if he coudl get a job up here, he would. It is not easy having to go to MA evry day cosidering how far away from the border we live. He looks for work here every day so he doesn't have to do it anymore. It wasn't what we wanted but it was the only option. 2 hrs each way is not fun or wanted.

1) NO - I believe school and social service will suffer and property taxes will skyrocket if income tax is eliminated.

2) YES

3) YES

I'm sure he would love a local job, but that'll require the state making a bit more investment in its human and economic infrastructure. The state can't do that based on hand-outs from the towns and cities. So NH continues to pay the penalty for its resistence to paying for its own fosterage. Regardless, MA shouldn't have to pay any price for NH's lack of vision. Every NH resident who works in MA is conceptually one less MA resident working, because competition from NH workers makes it that much harder for MA residents to avail themselves of the opportunities that their tax dollars foster here. Rewarding folks for moving to NH, but allowing them to work in MA without paying income tax here, would also have a very significant negative impact on our housing market, already hard-hit, since it would decrease demand for homes in MA.

The right answer is for NH and MA to be on parity with each other: both taxing their own as much as, and in the same manner as, the other, and both affording the same employment and business opportunities. However, NH has to match MA's specs, not the other way around nor drawing to a compromise, because, quite frankly, MA is perfectly fine with the way things are now.

On a side note, I voted for a Republican today for the first time in a long while. Not in the main event, but for State Representative. :)

I think I actually might have voted for mostly Republicans today, at least in the contested races. But Democrat for national office, of course.

I voted on the way to my little ones gymnastics class...........we were in and out of there in 5 min. no lines :thumbsup2

My dh is a McCainiac so my 5 yo is announcing to everyone " we are voting for John McCain" :lmao:

So I had to tell him mommy isn't voting like daddy!!! hehe

anyway, I haven't looked at any speculation on the ballot questions yet, are they predicting anything yet?

I voted yes on 3. I realize there are people who work at the tracks and will be affected, but the numbers are not as high as the scare ads are trying to make them out to be and how much money could they be making there anyhow? Couldn't they do just as well or better working at their local stop N shop? (Okay, maybe not the vets..but I am sure there are still jobs out there for vets) I just think we should be past the "Gladiator" stage where we use animals for our amusement. I know most of the greyhounds are under vets care..but they are animals. I don't understand what purpose racing has..whether it's greyhound, horse, or Nascar for that matter...it's just silly.

I voted yes on 3 (don't tell my friends who work at Taunton/Raynham!) It's all about legalized gambling to me. They are only holding onto dog racing so they can cry unfair competition and demand to be able to run full fledged casinos once the Indians get their casino built.

And once they get full scale casino gambling they will dump those dogs so fast your head will spin.

Vote yes on 1!

Stop thinking government has to pay for everything. It is a joke to think that there will no longer be services such as fire and police (Absolute worst case scenario, people will voulnteer).

Less money to government means more money in your pocket, less government control of your life and a more honest and efficient government taking care of the things they are supposed to be taking care of.

Tell the government you have had enough!

Please vote YES on question 3:)

I have seen some confusing ads regarding this ballot question. So if you want to end the suffering of greyhounds vote yes to ban racing in MA:thumbsup2

I voted yes on the ban a little while ago.

Animal abuse is not my idea of a fun sporting event:guilty:
