Mask and Social Distancing Rules May Change in Florida Soon

Then by all means - take it down...not like things that occur in Florida or Orlando ever impact Disney (what was I thinking...)

I agree that it does affect Disney too. Since right now they are still under the county mask rules. So before they are removed Disney isn’t going to do much either. Now will Disney drop the second the county does probably not but it is still a valid point.

It also shows that as a whole mask rules are going to be loosening most places and that will affect Disney in either people will go elsewhere where they don’t have to wear one or stay with Disney since they require. but as others loosen and no major issues arise will make people more tolerant of Disney dropping.

During a recent press conference, Mayor Demings said that they are “working with the Department of Health on a plan to phase reducing requirements of wearing facial coverings and social distancing.”
Mayor Demings noted that they are reviewing how the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s requirements are evolving, along with COVID-19 infection data. Mayor Demings indicated that a plan regarding reducing mask requirements and more will be announced soon.

When asked a bit more about the phased approach Mayor Demings didn’t give too many details, but he did say that they “will be looking at a phased approach to be looking at reducing the restrictions” that will be based on both indoor and outdoor capacity for various locations.

When it comes to outside activities and venues, Mayor Demings noted that they may be able to reduce some restrictions of limiting capacity. When it comes to face masks, Mayor Demings said, “I think that we are still a few months away from that [meaning a time where face masks won’t be required or requested at all]. But it will be a phased approach as we move towards the summer months.”

SIDE NOTE:
As of April 12th, Dollywood has changed its mask policies. Guests were previously required to wear masks while indoors and outdoors; however, the new policy states that visitors can remove their face coverings when they are outside and able to maintain 6 feet of space from others. Temperature checks will also no longer take place.
This thread should be closed before it becomes yet another anti-science disinformation filled slugfest.

It is what Legoland has done since July, for the most part it works fine. But we have been Dollywood since reopen and they aren't as strict with enforcing masks anyway. It really isn't that hard and actually makes more people not mind wearing when half to since you get more break times from wearing them.

Its coming at Disney and Universal sometime this year, Ill be shocked if it doesn't. When capacity goes up its gonna be like disney springs and city walk where it will be really hard to enforce.
I just envision people taking it to the extreme. For example, the frequently used loophole I've seen at malls around here: Carry a coffee cup and then claim they're drinking if someone asks me to put on a mask

Lines are socially distanced so an outdoor one could meet the 6' requirement. Walking paths could meet the 6' requirement if you are paying attention. Etc.
