Mascara

I really like Rimmel Glam Lash. Its in a pink/black tube. I just tried it last month for the first time and really like it a lot. I try new ones all the time...this one was worth buying again. ;)

I ordered a sample size of the dior off amazon. I don't wear makeup much unless I am leaving the house which for me hasn't been that often but I am hoping to get in the swing of things soon. Anyway my lancome turned up missing and I don't feel like searching my DD amost 12's room so I will give this a shot. I think it is nice and fun to try new cosmetics.

I am a mascara wh0re. I think I have tried at least 20-25 different ones in my quest for beautiful lashes. The best best best is Diorshow. Love it. But if you don't want to spend that much (and I don't these days) I stumbled upon a cheapie from Avon believe or not that works GREAT. It is called Volume Shock and is like 4.99. I use Clinique Lash Primer first (always use a primer first for ANY mascara, it makes it BETTER) and then a couple coats of the Volume Shock and it comes darn close to the Diorshow. :)

I use L'Oreal Waterproof Voluminous, in Black. It takes an act of God to remove this sludge without special ointment! I can swim at WDW and still look like a Goddess.;) :lmao:

I've tried many mascaras over the years and the only two that stay smudgeless and flakeless for me are Lancome Definicils and Clinique High Impact. I usually end up with Clinique because the Lancome is so expensive.

One time when I was buying my Clinique moisturizer, the girl handed me a fishbowl and told me to pick out 3 samples. I dug around and found one tube of the mascara. I got all excited and said something like, "Score! I LOVE this stuff!" She smiled and said, "Oh, really?", went over to another drawer, handed me another tube, and told me to take all four samples. Even those sample mascaras are a decent size!

I have used Mary Kay for years but last week tried Smashbox Bionic Mascara. I really like it. The sales girl showed me how to use on my lashes and my sister a different technique for hers. I tossed my Mary Kay that night/

I have used Max Factor 2000 Calorie waterproof for years but am having a hard time finding it now, hopefully it doesn't go away completely. That is one that lots of makeup artists say they use in magazines. It colors well, doesn't get goopy and the brush gets every lash.

For those days I need real doesn't come off for anything waterproof I use Great Last waterproof. I wear it camping and it lasts for a couple days!

Out of all the high end brands that I've tried, the Waterproof Lash Blast from Cover Girl has become my HG. It's awesome, I only wish I didn't wait so long to try it.

Alright ladies, you guys are selling me on the Dior Show. I went to order it from Nordstroms, but I couldn't tell which one you guys use. There seemed to be 4 different types. Please let me know which one you use. Here's a link to one that just said Dior Show. Does anyone use the waterproof one?

I bought that & a Bare Escentuals at Sephora.com, haven't tried either yet.

I also bought BE brow gel...have been using it & love it!

I've tried everything under the sun but always come back to Old Faithful:

When I was working in film, I asked a makeup artist which mascara was the best. He said out of all the expensive brands that promise thicker, fuller lashes, his favorite was the cheep Maybelline as shown above. I've been using it for several years, it's quite good! I found what really makes a difference is to curl your lashes. I stopped for a while thinking it didn't make that big of a difference but started recently and it does!

Personally, I prefer either BeneFit Bad Gal Lash or Covergirl Lash Blast. I've also tried Supernova Mascara from Fresh, and it's not bad.

I've never tried DiorShow, but my SIL adores it.

Ok, girls, you just cost me $37 today and $9 the other day. ;)

I've been reading this thread with great interest.

I've been wearing Lancome mascaras for years. A girl once came into Dunkin Donuts when I was working there in my early 20's (so probably 20 years ago) and I LOVED her eye lashes. I asked her what she wore and she said Lancome and that she layered it.

I have every kind they offer, in waterproof, and they work well but I'm ready for a change.

So today I was at Sephora and I picked up DiorShow Black out (waterproof) and Clinique primer. The other day I bought the Kohl's primer just because I was there and my sister had a 30% off coupon.

While I was there I also picked up Stila eye liner (another $16) and I LOVE it. I usually wear Lancome's but figured I'd try a new one for a change.

Anyway, thanks for all the tips. Can't wait to try my new primer and mascara. :goodvibes

I am a big Lancome fan for almost all my make up and skin care.....but i love any of their mascaras.
