A special thanks to Mary Poppins! We first met you last Wednesday (12/5/07) at Epcot in the U.K. My DD2.5 (who is a HUGE fan) was sleeping in her stroller and we couldn't wake her up. You politely had your picture taken with her sleeping away in her stroller. We then performed a bit of Disney Magic of our own! We walked across the bridge to France and purchased a white personalized umbrella. We hid it from her the rest of the day and did not mention meeting you. (We did check back several times to see if you had returned, though!)
Once we got back to our hotel, we hooked the camera up to our tv and showed her the picture of the two of you and then presented her with the "Jolly Holiday" umbrella that YOU had given to her! She was THRILLED! It is/was her favorite souvenir of the entire trip!
The next day, we met you again at breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. You spent so much time with DD! It probably helped that we brought a picture of her dressed as Mary Poppins (her halloween costume!) She talks all the time about how much Mary Poppins loves her, gave her an umbrella, etc.
Of course, we had already arrived home again when it dawned on her that she forgot to thank Mary Poppins for her umbrella! She was so upset because she loves it and wants you to know that! So thank you, Mary Poppins for the umbrella, but mostly for the wonderful memories you helped create for my daughter on her first trip to Disney World!
