hi folks!

just wondering if anyone knows where the best place to see mary poppins is in disneyland? i have 2 daughters who are OBSESSED with this woman. And I don't want them to miss her.

thanks

We found that she was up front as you enter the Park near the fire station along with a lot of other characters.

I saw her a couple times where the kids make the cookies. I don't think she was there while that was going on, but I saw her and Bert (hope that is right) in that area during my October trip.

The best way to find any character is to go to City Hall when you first enter the park and ask. They will tell you where and when a character is scheduled to be. We did this with Jack Sparrow before they opened Pirate's Island.

That is a great tip!

It sounds like she gets around! I saw her and Bert in May at the covered area near Coke Corner (where the pin carts are).

I found that Mary Poppins and Bert are out and about LOTS on Main street as you enter the park by the fire station or like other have said down by coke corner by the pin carts. You often see them with Alice and the Madhatter playing musical chairs with the kids. Ive seen them around the castle area too in different locations like on the small bridge on the left hand side of the castle.

I would totally head to City hall first and see when they are going to be about.

A big tip that I can give you though is be on main street about an hour and a half before the parades, it seems like I found them playing and skipping about around this time, kind of like the princesses who come out do meet and greets then disappear just in time for the parade.

OH that would be sooo great! DD would love that. She keeps saying she wants to ride the tea cups with Alice. hehe

I saw her two years ago when she kicked of the 50th celebration on 05-05-05. Ohhhh....do you mean the character? I thought you meant Julie Andrews. I was in such a state of shock when she came out to kick off the celebration and unveil the castle with all it's crowning glory that morning......:)

Coke corner for us too, one week day a week or so ago, around lunch time, with Bert and the Penguin! Bert let my son hold his cane (asked him to hold it actually) and they were both so charming, as was the Penguin, of course. :)

Good luck, I hope you can find her!!

When my daughter and son were still in diapers we would go to the baby center on main street. She would exit and enter from that area. There are benches. One time she calmed my daughter down who was having a meltdown. Such a nice lady! And she did it all in character!

Some folks report seeing her and Bert on the carosel.

I was there on Saturday and saw her and Bert by the Walt & Mickey statue. This was about 2:45 as we were looking for a spot for the parade.

We stopped at City Hall and asked where and when we could see her. We made sure we were there during the alloted time and the girls were sooooooooo excited to meet her and Burt!! Then the next day we found them again and they were asked by Alice to play Musical Chairs. A bit later Mary and Burt came over so they were playing with Alice, The Mad Hatter, Burt and Mary!!! I will never forget the look on DD7's face when she ran over and said "Mommy!!!!!!!!!! ALICE wants to play musical chairs with us! Can we???" She was sooooooooooo excited!!!! It was great.

Wow - that is soooo cool - our DD would have been gobsmacked!:goodvibes

We've seen Mary Poppins and one of the Penguins in WDW - but have never met Bert - here's hoping we get to meet with him next May (our first trip to DL).:wizard:

Actually, when I was there in May my sister was unfortunate enough to have to spend most of the day in the First Aid Center. She said Mary Poppins came through to visit people there at one point. I thought that was nice. It was about the only character my sister saw that day!
