I have two quick character questions:

Where are the best places for interactions with Mary Poppins?

Is there a place to ask about characters at CA like you can at City Hall in DL?

At what times does this show normally run? Does it run on weekdays too or just on the weekend during off season?

I'm not sure about CA, but we met mary poppins and bert off Main street near the end towards the castle. They were tucked off to the side, so I think there were maybe 2 or 3 people in line which was fantastic.

We saw them next to the carousel, in their casual clothes.

Mary Poppins and Bert are characters you often. I can basically recall seeing them every single day and several times at that when I was in the parks. I often saw them at the end of Main Street near the castle. There are times where Alice and the Mad Hatter will come out and play musical chairs with the kids at the end of Main Street by Coke Corner and Mary Poppins and Bert usually seem to be playing with them.

You won't see many characters at CA/DCA/California Adventure.

There's a guest services desk just inside the park, to the left of the entrance.

That's not necessarily true. Last week we saw Sorcerer Mickey, Woody, Snow White, Dopey, the Evil Witch (old lady from Snow White), and Sully all within an hour in the Hollywood Backlot. Not to mention all the princesses at Ariel's Grotto. ;)

To the OP, if you are searching for a specific character, ask at City Hall (they will call a "Character Finder" CM), or you can ask at the "Wait Times Board" at the end of Main Street where a Character Finder CM is usually stationed.

I've seen Mary Poppins and Bert several times in front of the Fire Station on Main Street too..

I agree with you DangerMouse. Back in December, we saw Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Sulley, Mr and Mrs Incredible, Frozone, Cinderella, and Woody!

If you guys saw them they must be there. :) Either that's a new thing or characters aren't on my radar at DCA. :3dglasses

Re-reading the OP, if you're asking about where to see Mary Poppins anywhere then I can chime in that I've seen them near the DL Fire Station as did prettyprincessbelle. If you're asking where to see them at DCA, I'll defer to the other folks... ;)

I think the second question is where to ask about characters at DCA, and I'll stick with the Guest Services window just inside the park to the left. There's also an info booth near Engine Ears Toys that could probably help.

We've seen Mary Poppins by herself several times at CA on the sidewalk right across from the Hyperion Theater (Aladdin Show). The pictures we have with her she's in her casual outfit.

We have also seen Mary Poppins and Bert singing and dancing in what seems like a small show just in front of the Castle. I've never seen this on a schedule, does anyone know if it is a regular event? (Albort, are you out there?) It seems like we are always rushing past it. I'd like to plan for it at some point!

What?

I never have a problem finding characters at either of the parks. I find most characters to be out earlier in the day however. If you arrive around park opening hours theres a high chance you will encounter characters as soon as you enter the turnstiles.

Mary Poppins and Bert occasionally do a performance with a band in front of the castle and also like someone else mentioned, play musical chairs with Alice and the Mad Hatter. I have also seen Peter Pan, Queen of Hearts, and the tweedles join them. This is a really fun character interaction and I highly advise taking part if you can.

Check with Guest Services for exact times. Have fun!:)

We saw them dancing to the piano player at the end of Main Street (DL) near Coke Corner. I believe it is the pin trading area. There were NO crowds or lines around them.

When we went often we always saw Mary Poppins around Main Street, walking up and down. There was one that would pop into the baby center it seems just about each time we would go. She was/is awesome. Always remembered my daughter's name and would say "why Kelly, it is so good to see you back again". The would sing and dance together. I LOVED that. princess:
