I think I remember you said your had booked the agriculture tour for today?

We got a 10 min sneak peak the first of May and was interested if it was as great as I think it is.

We are not going back until September so hopeing it is well received and they continue to offer it so we can do the whole tour.

A report pretty please. :littleangel:

Hi indygirl99,

My daughter, Kelly (Daisuke on the boards) and I did go on the tour today, and I really enjoyed it. It was the inaugural tour, and I think there will be some changes to it as they go along. Our tour guide, Jon, did such a good job. We learned things about the Mickey floral (of course), and the plant life along Main Street, Adventureland, Frontierland, New Orleans Square, Critter Country, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland.

We only touched on Adventureland and Critter Country. We went on three attractions: Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, and Storybook Land Canal Boats. Of the three, we would have liked more information on the flora than going on the Haunted Mansion.

At the end of the tour we got a very cool pin that when you pull on a stem it reveals the Disneyland Rose shaped in a Mickey. We also got a 'matchbook' with little slips that you plant to get flowers.

The tour was two hours, and they flew by. What made the tour even more special was that three dear DIS friends, califgirl, 4Fosterkids, and tinkermell were also on the tour. I also met another DISer, Jennifer, on the tour.

I'll be doing a blog on it, as well as reporting about it on the podcast we're recording tomorrow.

Thank you.

I look forward to the blog and the podcast.

Enjoying special tours with friends makes them even better. :wizard:

Jungle Cruise and Storybook Land, I get. Why would the tour take you on HM? To see dead roses? :confused3 How odd. Can't wait for the podcast!

Mary Jo, this sounds like something my sister and I would really enjoy! How much was the tour??
Thanks so much for sharing. :flower3:

They took us through the HM queue and talked about the plants they used to create the theme - I'll let MaryJo tell you all about it on the pod-cast. But, we were also surprised that we went on the attraction. I would have preferred to explore the landscaping more, and maybe use the time we spent on the attraction to see other things. (we were hoping for the backstage greenhouses, but that was not to be.)

I really enjoyed the tour, and I was surprised that the special pin and seed packet were so cute (and available on the inagural tour!).
