Since we are attending MNSSHP this evening we decided to do AK this morning because
there is only a few things we want to see here, since we fully covered this park last year.
First we did "It's tough to be a bug", we both love this show. Next we went to the Safari,
the wait is 25 minutes, so we decided to wait, this is one of the few times we waited for
anything for over 10 minutes, but the line on this moves quickly. The one thing I didn't get to do here last year was "The Celebration of the Lion King", so we saw that at 1030am, its was
very good, the costumes are incredible. We left AK and took the bus over to the AKL for lunch,
we ate at Mara, the food court. I had sugar cane chicken, it was very spicy and hot, very yummy, its actually served on sugar cane. Since it had started raining after we left AK, we walked around the AKL for awhile. I am a Travel Agent, so I really wanted to check out this
property since I hadn't seen it before. We then headed back to CR, the rain had stopped for now, so we decided to check out the pool at our hotel. I really liked the pool area at the CR.
We layed out in the sun for awhile then went in the pool and jacuzzi. Time to get cleaned up for the Halloween party, but it starts to rain AGAIN, and it doesnt stop until 10pm, "BIG BUMMER." We had a dinner res. at 6pm at Liberty Tree Tavern, this place always has great food, I could make a meal on their rolls and butter alone. I almost forgot, they did NOT use one
of our Park Hopper Days to get in the MK, we just inserted our Halloween Part tickets. After dinner we had to buy ponchos. We walked right on Splash Mountain, we could've stayed on and rode again, then walked right on Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates,Haunted Mansion. The first parade was cancelled because of the rain, it was coming down pretty steady. The park was still alot of fun, I am 36 and my DH is 42 and the cast members insisted we trick or treat, so we complied. We had our pictures taken in front of the Hall of Presidents. Next we headed to Alien Encounter and Space Mountain and walked right on both of them, but we missed the
fireworks, they went off while we were at Alien Encounter. The rain finally stoped around 10pm
and the second parade started, What a great parade, the headless horseman starts the parade. WE sat on the porch at Tonys Restaurant in big old rocking chairs with our feet up, this in itself was a great treat. We each got 2 big bags of candy, "Like we really needed that"
After the parade we left and took the monorail back to our hotel, by then we were both in need of a hot shower and a good nights sleep.

Sounds like yall had a very nice day...except for the rain. I'm glad it let up so the parade could go on. Sitting at Tonys in a big rocker with your feet up sounds great!

Thanks for sharing. I love that porch in front of Tony's too - after we've had breakfast there, of course.

Your trip sounds great! Thanks for posting...

Beth
