Hi All,
A little late to the party but trying to get into the Marvel Universe. Looking for suggestions on order of the movies I need to watch to understand the newer series on Disney+. I have always been a Batman and Punisher fan and it has always been hard for me to like superhero movies. I liked those 2 because they were humans with no super powers. I have seen GotG too. Thanks and please be gentle.

If you want to just get the Falcon & Winter Soldier stuff, then I would just do the following:

Captain America: The First Avenger
Avengers
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Avengers: Age of Ultron (optional)
Captain America Civil War
Avengers: Infinity War (these are tangential but important to the current state of the world)
Avegners: Endgame

But, they are all enjoyable, so I'd toatlly recommend starting with Iron Man and going all the way through them. The full order can be found here:

Enjoy!

This is a great list for the basic overall story of the MCU. I would say Age of Ultron is just as important as the others, especially for the Disney+ shows, as the events for it set up Civil War and introduce us to Wanda and Vision (you get all their stuff within these same films as well). I do recommend going through all of them though if you have he time as each of them play some role in later projects through concepts, locations, or characters introductions.

I would definitely say Age of Ultron is important for WandaVision, just not so much for Winter Soldier. It's still good though and worth watching.

Yea the movie itself doesn't' have a huge overall impact for the Falcon and Winter Soldier stories but it lays the foundation for Civil War which is a pivotal moment for the MCU and a big part of the respective storylines. So to get the most out of Civil War I feel that Ultron is very important for it.

I mean, really, watching all of them is best! 😁

If you like Guardians you will really like Thor Ragnorak. It's my favorite MCU movie.

Also The Avengers which got me into the MCU and Captain America The First Avenger. I am sure both the Avengers and The Thor movies will come back up when Loki comes out

Ok, this is may be overload for a new person to MCU, but if you really want to get the full picture, this is the chronological watch order for the entire MCU. The first five movies were not released in the MCU timeline order, so thats why Bruce Banner is played by Edward Norton. Ironman is technically the first movie, as it was the first movie to be released, but in timeline order, its the third movie.

Captain America The First Avenger ( spoiler alert, dont watch the mid credits scene)
Agent Carter (interesting to watch, great to fill in the back story but not really necessary)
Captain Marvel ( spoiler alert, dont watch the mid credits scene)
Iron Man
Iron Man 2
The Incredible Hulk
Thor
Avengers Assemble
Iron Man 3
Thor The Dark World
Captain America The Winter Soldier
Agents of Shield Season 1 (interesting to watch, great to fill in the back story but not really necessary)
Guardians of The Galaxy
Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 2
Agents of Shield Season 2 (interesting to watch, great to fill in the back story but not really necessary)
Avengers Age of Ultron
Antman
Agents of Shield Season 3 (interesting to watch, great to fill in the back story but not really necessary)
Captain America Civil War
Doctor Strange
Black Panther
Agents of Shield Season 4 (interesting to watch, great to fill in the back story but not really necessary)
Spider-man Homecoming
Thor Ragnarok
Agents of Shield Season 5 (interesting to watch, great to fill in the back story but not really necessary)
Antman and The Wasp
Avengers Infinity War
Avengers Endgame
WandaVision
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

The TV series other than Agent Carter and Agents of Shield are not part of the main MCU story line.
Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage , The Punisher , Iron Fist and The Defenders are all connected and tell the story of what happens in New York after The Battle of New York in Avengers Assemble.

Runaways, Inhumans and Cloak and Dagger are set in the same world as MCU but they are not connected in any way to the other TV series or the main MCU storyline.

I believe what you ahve there is the chronological timeline order- cool!

Runaways did connect to a show you didn't name, Cloak and Dagger. C&D made an appearance in the final season of Runaways. Those Marvel TV shows do recognize the movies as cannon, but it doesn't work the other way around. Still, most of them are prety good. I loved Agents of SHIELD and Agent CArter, as well as C&D and Runaways (Runaways is exceptiuonal - worth watching regardless of how it fits in). There was also Inhumans which was pretty "blah" but not actually as bad as people make it out to be. It has its moments but is very inconsequential.

Yes sorry, I will edit that for newbies to MCU :) I liked Inhumans, its just a shame they all were cancelled during the whole Netflix to Disney shift.

I tried to watch them in order they were released, but Iron Man 2 was so boring (2nd movie), I didn't finish it and then stopped watch the rest.

I had seen Thor and Dr. Strange before, but I fear it is not my thing

I was just looking and I didn't even realize that one other Marvel Television show came out - Hellstrom on Hulu. Apparently it was released last October.

It was super weird, but I enjoyed it. It's not getting a second season.

I'd definitely like to watch it, but I don't have Hulu. I only got to watch Runaways when it moved to Disney+. I was actually looking forward tot eh Ghost Rider one, but I think that was scrapped entirely.

It's more along the lines of the Netflix shows. Very dark and really not for kids. I signed up for the Black Friday Hulu deal for the version with ads for $1.99/month, they'll probably do that again this fall.

This is the best way to watch the MCU in my opinion. It seems to flow better even though they came out in different years

I should've done that, but I just didn't. I have the three year Disney+ deal so I don't know if I can bundle. I enjoyed the Netflix shows for th emost part too so I would absolutely want to watch it, though I think I preferred the YA series like C&D and Runaways - Runaways was very good really.

Hulu is not available in my country, and I don't have Netflix , so I bought the DVD boxsets. Other than Inhumans, Runaways and Season 7 of Agents of Shield and the new stuff on Disney+ I have the entire MCU on DVD's I started buying them about 6 years ago.

I have that Disney+ deal, too, so I didn't bundle just bought Hulu separately. For $2/month I figured why not.
I've seen parts of C&D and Runaways, really need to pick those back up again. I'm not sure where we left off, I know we got past season 1 on both of them.

Cloak & Dagger is a favorite comic of mine - I really liked Season 2 of the show! Runaways was just fantastic and I never read the comic.
