So...if Disney buys Marvel Comics, what happens to those characters presence at Universal Studios?? Still getting my hands around Spiderman and Mickey together!!

Not much very soon...TWDC will be obilgated to existing licensing agreements made prior to the sale.

I'm sure nothing will happen until the license agreement between Universal Orlando and Marvel expires.

Once the current licensing deal expires, Disney will have the choice to negotiate a new deal with Universal or not. If Disney doesn't make a deal, Universal will have to cease all Marvel related activities.

Based on Igor's comment about it making sense to eventually bring everything under one roof, the current Universal and Marvel deal is likely to be the last.

Marvel also has various deals with the two-park Universal Orlando. The agreements governing two of Universal's hugely popular rides, The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk roller coaster, appear to be virtually perpetual deals. According to Universal's filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Universal Orlando retains American rights east of the Mississippi River for as long as its attractions are in operation.

i believe the poster was suggesting that a villain like dr doom might sabotage the rides at universal - making them "non-operational" and thus ending their rights to the marvel characters...
