I must admit I am not up to date on Universal and it's parks. We have been looking into an Orlando trip and were wondering if anything has changed in the parks since Disney has bought out Marvel? I would assume the would just rename the "big"rides but wondering what else I may have missed. tiA

Nothing in Marvel Superhero Island has changed at all. The rides, stores, and restaurants are still based on Marvel characters.

Correct and nothing will change until Universal decides to get rid of the Marvel characters.

Disney bought out Marvel in 2009. Lots of things have happened in the parks but not with the Marvel stuff.

We have the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Despicable Me, two new miniature golf courses, a night-time show at the Studios, a new parade at the Studios, an updated Spiderman ride, Transformers ride and newly rethemed Simpsons area to open this summer, the area formerly occupied by jaws has been flattened and Diagon Alley is in the process of being built, a new Hogwarts Express to link the two Harry Potter areas is also in the process of being built, a new value hotel is in construction. I think that is it!

Disney may own Marvel, but Universal has rights to use the characters and likenesses in their parks East of the Mississippi for as long as they choose to.

Thanks Everyone! This is good to know. My son has been telling my nephew about the "ride in" of the characters on ATV's and I didnt want anyone to be disappointed. I think this is the part they are looking forward to the most :)
