Was anyone at Disney this year on MLK week? Curious what the crowds were like. We likely would stay away from MK until Tues or Wed and would follow recommended parks for that weekend (possibly go to MK during EMH on the weekend if they have them).

I will have DD 6 DD 6 and DS 15. There school schedule would allow me to take them this week and only pull them from school for 3 days. The other option is pull them 5 days and go in November. I hate pulling the kids but refuse to go in the summer with the heat and high crowds. Pulling them for 3 days doesn't seem bad if the crowds are manageable. Thanks!

We were there this year. The parks Sunday and Monday (we weren't there Sat) were pretty overwhelming but we managed to still get things done. We survived in MK on Monday actually (made a BOG ADR before realizing it was a holiday). The rest of the week was fine, not low crowds, but manageable.

I know there is a 3 day youth conference next year called "Faith in 3D" that weekend but not certain of parks/logistics yet. My DD gets to join Youth with the move to middle school next year and she can't wait for this conference. I know some is in Epcot and I think the last time they went they got discounted rooms at Coronado Springs.

We were spoiled going to Disney in Nov 2005 and Jan 2008 and pretty much walked on every ride. I've been reading about record attendance and am trying to gage just how much more crazy it's going to be.

I've never been at Christmas but MLK weekend 2015 was the busiest I've ever seen it and I can't imagine going that weekend again. Toy story was 200 minutes at one point. I was glad to have FP+ that weekend. I had been during MLK weekend several years ago and it wasn't that bad but this year was unbelievable.

How long were you waiting in lines?

I was pretty good about stating line waits in my trip report which I have linked in my sig if you want specifics.

At one point on Monday Small World said it had a 30 min wait (was more like 20) and we waited a solid 30-40 at Jungle Cruise Monday. Back at MK Friday we didn't wait more than 15/20 for anything (obviously didn't wait for 7DMT or anything)
