For about the same price, we have a choice of Marriott Grande or Bonnet Creek, both seem to have good reviews from what I've read so far. Either way, we will rent a 2 bedroom for the week from a private party. Our childrens' ages are 9, 16, and 17. Please share any info you can to help us make our decision!

Have stayed at both and think both are great.

That being said, Bonnet Creek is brand new...still building there. The location cannot be beat if you are doing the parks...it is "onsite" ...but not technically since it is not owned by Disney. It is next door to the Caribbean Beach Resort.

The villas were great and are set up similar to the 2 bedroom at the Marriott. Basically the bedrooms are split on either side with the living area/dining area in the middle.

Bonnet Creek has a nice lazy river which I think your kids would love. (Mine do..and so do I).

If you are looking to golf, however, I'd go with the Marriott since it is on a beautiful golf course. For now the Marriott is a larger resort that is more spread out. It is also beautiful and I'd go back there in a heartbeat too.

But for the same price, I'd go with Bonnet Creek for the location, beautiful villas, lazy river.

Have a wonderful time!!!

If you are focusing on Disney, go with Bonnet Creek due to the superior location to the parks.

If you are planning to enjoy the resort as much or more than the parks, you might consider MGV; they have a bit more in the way of on-site amenities.

You can't go wrong with either.

as had been stated if you only intend to do Disney WDW -then Bonnet Creek is a great choice.

however if you intend to do Seaworld or US or IOA - then go with Marriott's Grande vista

but I might stick with Bonnet Creek even then - it is the newer one of them. ALthough the MGV has some newer units.

HI

I just checked on Trip Advisor and there were some pretty unhappy people complaining about Bonnet Creek. In my researching for our vacation I have only come up with one really unhappy person for Marriott Grande Vista and I came up with three people unhappy on my first shot with Bonnett Creek, one of them a time share owner with the company - who said the walls were so thin you could here the conversation of the couple next door which was VERY uncomfortable for them and their young daughter. Hope this helps, we are sticking with the Grande Vista, good luck!;)

I've read mostly glowingly positive and occasionally extremely negative reviews about both - some say WBC has thin walls, some say cleanliness/upkeep can be an issue in a few units at MGV - overall, these complaints seem a drop in the bucket compared with the many, many happy vacationers at both. Overall, these are both high-end resorts. I would avoid the "studio" at MGV, since it's little more than a hotel room. Assuming you will have the same size unit at either place, I would base my selection on what you plan to do the most during your stay.

If you want to spend a lot of time at Disney, at a newer resort, then Wyndham Bonnet Creek is the easy choice. Its neighbor is Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. It is right between Disney's Typhoon Lagoon/Downtown Disney area and the Epcot resort/BoardWalk area.

If you want to spend more time at Sea World, the Universal Parks and/or golf, then Marriott Grand Vista makes much more sense. It's just a few blocks from SW w/the Nick Faldo Golf Institute and course right on site. HTH! Have fun, either way! :)

Wow, I thought BC was so nice!! I never heard a peep from any neighbors and I'm a light sleeper. The property was stunning.
I loved the loaction and the size and amenities of the room. The staff was so helpful and friendly too!

I guess it all boils down to when you go and what rooms you get, some better than others. Its a crap shoot no matter where you go, you take your chances. Here's to good luck to all, hope your vacations are a blast with all good things! Have fun.
