Marriott's Cypress Harbour

We stayed at this resort over Christmas and NY 2006/07 and enjoyed it so much that we returned for last Christmas and NY.

We found the accommodation more than big enough for four - me DH, DD18 and DS15. The master bedroom is enormous with a huge spa bath and seperate shower plus twin sinks. The second bedroom is a little cramped, especially if you use the sofa bed but we all love the resort so much that the kids were happy to put up with this small inconvenience and rotated themselves around using the sofa bed. There is also a second bathroom, fully equiped kitchen and separate laundry room with large washing machine and tumble drier, ironing board and iron. If you take your own laptop there is free internet access in the appartments and wi fi around the main pool but there are computers available in the lobby area for a nominal charge.

The resort is very clean and well kept, the staff cannot do enough for you, the three pools are all clean, there are bbq areas for you to use free of charge, the kids club is well run with lots of activities for adults too. We felt very safe there, with secrurity patrols and a gated entrance.

We felt it was well situated being close to Sea World (you can see the fireworks at night), only minutes from Premium Outlets, Cross Roads and Downtown Disney. On site there is a very small shop which sells the basics and a Pizza Hut but nearby there is a lovely Publix and Walgreens.

After enjoying our first trip there so much we were unsure if we would enjoy it as much a second time, if anything it was even better for knowing where everthing was and getting straight into our holiday. I would recommend this resort without hesitation.

Any questions, please ask.

Thank you. My son will just turn 12 when we go, do you think there would be things to keep him occupied, I'm worried he may be a little lonely as we usually stay on site. Can you walk anywhere? Seaworld, I Drive? I take it we would need a car?

You could walk to Seaworld - probably about 20 minutes walk away. The I Trolley does operate on the main road outside the resort and will take you to the shops I mentioned earlier, terminating at Premium Outlets where you can catch I Trolleys that operate on the other routes. We did have a car which made life easier.

I'm sure your son would find other children to play with. In addition to the organised events the kids club has basketball courts, pool tables, games machines, Guitar Hero World Tour, putting, giant chess, there are pedalos and small boats to hire as well as fishing equipment to fish in the lakes so loads to do. Take a look on Trip Advisor for some good pictures of the resort.

Thank so much. Our plan was for POP & RPR but my husbands boss offered us this for £416 per week under his timeshare. We are very tempted as it looks lovely, but are torn as we have only stayed on site before & really enjoy that and dh has not driven before, he does'nt mind but doesn't fancy it every day. Think we may leave it till next year & see if parents want to come.
